Centropupism: the belief that you personally are the center of the world, that all the people around you, their destinies and events, are only performers of an exciting performance named after you …

Tendency towards centropupism

Children and adults with childish mental traits are more likely to be centropupic. More often — women. See Child Man.

Talk about Destiny, about the Signs of the World are manifestations of centropupism.

Are you seriously suggesting that there is some kind of Higher Power that is engaged in the labor activity of each of us personally? Which not only destined you, me and everyone to a certain work, but rewards happiness for good performance, and punishes for non-performance: longing to engage in unloved business? I hear something like romantic paganism in this: “The world is kind and strict, it gives me signs, I need to guess them. I will be inattentive — he will punish me, and guess what — there will be a lot of happiness … ”This is not faith, this is superstition. Most often, girls like to believe in this: to believe that they find themselves in the Center of the World, that the whole world is arranged for them and revolves around them, personally rewarding them or personally punishing them.

Centropupism as a form of attracting attention

Centropupism is a common way to get attention, even if it’s your own attention.

If I believe that the whole world revolves around me, that the universe takes care of me and sends me signs, that Life has promised me Love and Happiness, then I attract my own attention to myself. See centropupism as a form of attracting attention
