Cellulite – Our doctor’s opinion

Cellulite – Our doctor’s opinion

As part of its quality approach, Passeportsanté.net invites you to discover the opinion of a health professional. Dr Marc Zaffran, general practitioner, gives you his opinion on the cellulitis :

Cellulite is not a disease, but a transformation of the skin induced by many factors, in particular genetic, hormonal and food. For this reason, it is not possible to prevent it.

Most often, it only poses a cosmetic problem, and not a health problem.

To date, none of the treatments proposed to make it go away are effective in the long term (or even in the short term, for the most part). They only have a cosmetic effect, inconsistent from one woman to another, and are very expensive.

Physical exercise, a balanced diet and personal work on self-image (which allows you not to be dominated by the desire to change your image beyond what is possible) are the best attitudes to have before cellulite.
