Alcohol from celery cannot be called particularly tasty and fragrant, but drinks from this vegetable have many useful properties.
For infusion, petiole and root varieties of the plant are more often used. They have anti-inflammatory, tonic, warming, soothing effect.
Alcohol based on such raw materials is sharp, tart, rich in vitamins and nutrients.
A few words about medicinal properties
Celery tincture on vodka has long been used as a miraculous potency elixir that can restore male power.
The product is also known as a remedy for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system.
For joints, celery infused with alcohol is especially good: it is used for rubbing and compresses.
The leaves of the plant are not suitable for making alcoholic beverages; it is better to cut them in advance.
As a basis for tinctures, you can take vodka, alcohol diluted to 45% or moonshine.
Tincture of celery on moonshine “Ambrosia”
The composition of the product can be adjusted at your discretion: replace capsicum with hot peas (3-4 pieces) or horseradish, add a little honey to soften the taste, increase the amount of ginger and celery.
Multiple (2-3 times) use of vegetable raw materials after decanting the drink is allowed. To improve potency and immunity, drink tincture 30-50 g per night. To improve appetite, it is recommended to take before meals.
Ingredients
Celery stalks / root – 0,5-0,6 kg
Ginger root – 50 g
Garlic – 3 cloves
Hot pepper – 1 pod
Moonshine – 1,5-2 l
Method of preparation
Grind celery, pour into a 3-liter jar, filling it “up to the shoulders”.
Ginger and garlic cut into slices, add to the vegetable mass.
Throw a whole pod of pepper into the jar, pour the mixture with alcohol.
Let the drink brew for 2-3 days in the dark and 1 week in the refrigerator.
Strain, filter, pour into bottles, hold in the cold for 1-3 weeks.
Celery seed tincture
The tool is used for rinsing with diseases of the mouth and gums, diluting 20 drops of infusion with ¼ cup of water.
Ingredients
Celery seeds – 2 tsp
Vodka / moonshine – 1 glass
Method of preparation
Soak the seeds in alcohol.
Let the mass brew for 2 weeks.
Tincture “Wine” from celery root
The drink has a calming, relaxing, immunomodulatory effect, light pineapple taste. It is recommended to drink in small doses in the evening or before meals.
Ingredients
Dry white wine – 2 l
Celery root – 0,8 kg
Method of preparation
Grind the washed and peeled vegetable with a grater.
Pour the mass into a jar, pour alcohol, seal tightly with a lid.
Place the container for 3 days in a dark, cool corner, remembering to shake regularly.
Pass the drink through the filter, pour into opaque vessels, store in the dark.
Celery tincture “Concentrated”
The drink is taken in 20-30 ml 1-2 times a day to strengthen immunity and potency, treat genitourinary disorders. The alcohol version of the remedy can be used to treat arthritis by rubbing it on sore spots or applying a compress for half an hour twice a day.
Ingredients
Chopped celery root – 2 tbsp. l.
Celery seeds – 1 tbsp. l.
Vodka – 1 l
Method of preparation
Put vegetable raw materials in a suitable container, pour alcohol.
Let it brew for 5-7 days, strain.
Tincture of celery “Anti-hangover”
Take as needed with ice or mineral water, do not overdose.
Ingredients
Celery stalks – 2 pcs.
Cherry tomatoes – 100 g
Vodka – ½ l
Black peppercorns – 1 tsp.
Method of preparation
Coarsely chop the celery, put it in a glass jar.
Divide the tomato fruits into halves, throw them into the celery mass.
Pepper crush, add to vegetables.
Pour the mixture with alcohol, cork the jar, shake the contents.
Place the drink in a dark, cool corner or refrigerator for 7 days, shaking occasionally.
Pass the infusion through a sieve or filter, store in the dark.
tincture of celery on gin
An alcoholic version of Dr. Brown’s. The drink has a pleasant, spicy taste, light tonic, refreshing and relaxing effect. Can be drunk neat or in cocktails. Store no more than 1 year.
Ingredients
Gin – 0,8 l
Celery stalks – 8 pcs.
Cucumber long – 2 pcs.
Sugars – 100 g
Water – 100 ml
Unripe tomato fruit – 1 pc.
Celery seeds – 1 tbsp. l.
Sea salt – 1 pinch.
Method of preparation
Finely chop the celery stalks, chop the tomato coarsely.
Free the cucumber from the skin, chop the pulp.
Throw the vegetable mass and seeds into a jar, salt, pour gin.
Close the container tightly, shake, place in the dark and cool for 1 week, shaking the contents regularly.
Pass the infusion through a gauze filter without squeezing the mass.
Brew a thick syrup of water and sugar, add to the drink, mix, pour into a clean vessel.
Let the liquid “rest” for 2-3 weeks, try.
