Celery stalk salad is recognized by nutritionists around the world as one of the healthiest dishes that strengthens the immune system, regulates blood pressure, removes toxic substances from the body and helps to lose weight.
Celery stalks are often used as a salad base in recipes, and celery stalks themselves can be complemented with oranges, shrimps, nuts, chicken and other ingredients that accentuate the flavor of the salad and make it more satisfying.
Celery stalks and apple salad
To prepare an apple-celery salad, you will need: – 250 grams of celery stalks, – 2 small green apples, – 100 grams of walnuts, – 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
For the sauce, take: – 100 grams of low-calorie mayonnaise, – 4 tablespoons of medium-fat cream, – 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, – freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste.
Peel celery, apples and nuts. Cut the celery stalks into thin strips, cut the green apples into small cubes. Chop the nuts with a sharp knife.
To prevent celery and apples from darkening during cooking, sprinkle them with a little freshly squeezed lemon juice. So the acid will interfere with the process, and the products will retain a presentable appearance.
Now start making the sauce. Combine salt, some black pepper, mayonnaise and well-whipped cream in a deep bowl. Pour the resulting mixture into celery, apples and nuts. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and refrigerate for several hours.
Sprinkle the prepared salad with finely chopped herbs and serve.
Celery stalk salad with sesame seeds and apples
Celery stalks and recipes for their preparation allow you to cook quite a variety of dishes. For example, a salad with celery stalks, sesame seeds, and apples is a great snack. Take: – 350 grams of celery, – 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds, – 1 large sweet and sour apple, – 100 grams of Dutch or Russian hard cheese, – 3 tablespoons of light mayonnaise, – black pepper and salt to taste.
If you do not consume mayonnaise, you can substitute refined olive oil, which will not add a bitter taste to the salad. Or low-fat yogurt, which is very popular among dieters as a great sauce for dishes.
Peel the stems and cut them into small pieces. Peel the apple and cut into thin slices. Grate the cheese into thick strips. Put all the ingredients in a salad bowl, add sesame seeds, some ground pepper, mayonnaise and a pinch of salt to them. Stir the salad thoroughly and place in serving bowls.
Celery stalks salad with chicken
To prepare a hearty and nutritious dish of celery stalks with chicken meat, you will need: – 250 grams of fresh chicken, – 150 grams of fresh or canned mushrooms, – celery stalks (to taste), – 4 tablespoons of sour cream, – a pinch of sea salt and freshly ground pepper (white or black).
Cut the celery stalks with a knife. Boil the chicken fillet in lightly salted water, cool and divide with your hands into fine fibers. Fry the diced mushrooms (until golden brown) in a hot skillet with olive oil. Chop the peeled nuts, cut the cucumbers into strips. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, add pepper and salt to taste. Season the salad with sour cream, stir and let it brew.
Instead of “naked” sour cream, you can use a sauce made from low-fat cottage cheese, mashed with lemon juice and sour cream. This mixture has a pleasant and delicate taste that will appeal to lovers of gourmet cuisine.
Celery stalks: recipe with chicken and sweet onions
An unusual combination is a salad of celery stalks, sweet onions, chicken and pomegranate seeds. You will need: – 1 large carrot, – 1 purple onion, – 1 medium chicken breast, – 2 eggs, – 4 celery stalks, – green onions and pomegranate seeds.
For the sauce, take: – 1 tablespoon of lettuce mayonnaise, – 2 tablespoons of cream (25%), – 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, – ½ teaspoon of powdered curry.
Boil the carrots and chicken breast in the same saucepan – this will nourish the carrots with broth and make the salad even tastier. Cut the boiled chicken into medium pieces and fry it in olive oil until golden brown.
If desired, do not boil the chicken, but rub the poultry with garlic, sprinkle with Provencal herbs and fry it in a saucepan until a delicate and appetizing golden brown
Hard boil the eggs, peel and cut into small cubes. Cut the celery into small pieces, finely chop the onion, grate the carrots. Combine the chicken and finely chopped carrots, stir and start making the sauce.
To make the sauce, combine the mayonnaise with cream, curry and Worcestershire sauce, stir well and season the salad. Salting the dish is optional. You can use regular powdered or grainy mustard instead of curry.
