Cebion is a drug used in dietetics and family medicine to regulate the states of vitamin C deficiency in the body and related complications. The preparation affects the digestive tract and metabolism. Cebion is available as drops and is available without a prescription.

Indications for the use of Cebion
Cebion is indicated in the prophylaxis and treatment of vitamin C deficiency states when the use of an appropriate diet is not sufficient.
Dosage:
- Adults and adolescents after 12 years of age: 15-20 drops / d.
- Kids. 2nd-23. month of life: 5-8 drops / d;
- 3.-11. year of life: 10 drops / d.
Cebion, contraindications and warnings
Contraindications to the use of the Cebion supplement are:
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
- oxalate nephrolithiasis,
- iron storage disorders (thalassemia, haemochromatosis, sideroblastic anemia).
Cebion – warnings:
- Do not use high doses of ascorbic acid (more than 4 g daily) in people with deficiency of blood glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
- People with renal insufficiency taking high doses of vitamin C are at increased risk of calcium oxalate kidney stones.
- The glycerol contained in the preparation may cause headache, diarrhea and nausea.
- Before using the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult your doctor.
- During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is not recommended to use ascorbic acid doses in excess of the daily requirement (80-100 mg per day).
Cebion – interactions:
- Vitamin C increases the absorption of aluminum in the gastrointestinal tract, which may be important especially in patients with renal insufficiency and in the case of using aluminum-containing antacids.
- Vitamin C used in doses greater than 1 g per day may mislead some laboratory tests (eg urine glucose [sugar], creatinine, inorganic phosphate tests) and may give false negative results in blood tests in the stool.
Cebion – side effects: Skin and respiratory hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
