Bread breading makes it possible to fry the product, providing it with a crispy appetizing crust. This is how meat, fish and vegetables are prepared. Try toasting cauliflower in breadcrumbs, the dish will turn out to be hearty and delicious. Serve the cabbage in breadcrumbs on your own, adding a suitable sauce, or serve as a side dish.
This original English dish is served hot, accompanied by green salad and fresh white bread.
You will need: – 1 large head of cauliflower; – 300 ml of milk; – 60 g of butter; – 3 tablespoons of flour; – 0,5 cups of crackers; – 100 g of cheddar cheese; – a pinch of mustard powder; – a pinch of grated nutmeg ; – salt; – freshly ground black pepper.
Homemade crackers or fresh bread crumbs are suitable for cooking.
Disassemble the cauliflower into inflorescences and boil them in salted water until tender. Place the cabbage in a colander and let the water drain. Dry the florets and place them in a deep, fireproof dish that has been oiled. Grate cheese, crush crackers in a mortar or grind in a blender.

Pour milk into a saucepan, add flour and butter. While stirring, bring the mixture to a boil, heat for a few more minutes, then pour three quarters of the grated cheddar into a saucepan, add salt, freshly ground black pepper, grated nutmeg and mustard powder. While stirring, cook the mixture for another minute – the sauce should thicken, but not form lumps.
Pour the hot sauce over the cauliflower. Combine remaining cheese with breadcrumbs and sprinkle over dish. Grill the cabbage and serve immediately.

You will need: – 1 kg of cauliflower; – butter; – 1 glass of ground crackers; – 100 g of parmesan; – salt; – freshly ground black pepper; – olive oil for frying.
Instead of fresh cauliflower, you can use fresh frozen
Disassemble the cauliflower into inflorescences and boil until soft. Drain the water, dry the inflorescences. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a frying pan and fry the crumbled crackers in it until golden brown. Grate Parmesan (Parmesan can be replaced with spicy hard cheese).
Heat the olive oil in a separate skillet, add a teaspoon of butter to it and fry the cabbage, stirring with a wooden spatula. Season the dish with salt and pepper, and then sprinkle with toasted breadcrumbs and grated cheese. Place the skillet in an oven preheated to 220 degrees and bake the cabbage until golden brown.
Serve on preheated bowls. This cabbage is perfect as a side dish for fried fish or chicken. Serve the pickled vegetable salad and toasted white bread separately.
