Casual and natural: hot trends in eyebrow design

Woman’s Day asked Brow-Up & Make Up stylist Alexandra Stein what trends in eyebrow dyeing and design will be relevant this spring. We watch the shooting and get inspired!

Form

“Now the eyebrows should be as natural as possible – no clear and graphic lines! – says Alexandra. – Carelessness concerns the hairs – the leading art directors for make-up leave the models at the shows too much in the eyebrows, not achieving perfect cleanliness and shape. “

The two areas that need to be cleaned out anyway are the temples and the upper eyelid, which form the main curves of the eyebrow.

If girls skip coloring, then after the correction, the eyebrows are laid with a colorless gel. For several seasons they have been combed up – the look becomes more open and youthful – youthful enthusiasm suits even those over 30. If the hairs in the eyebrows are long, they are trimmed with special scissors with thin blades.

Technique

A more traditional approach is to completely remove excess hairs. Clients are increasingly asking to rid them of the “fluff” around the eyebrow using a thread. This Asian hair removal technique is called trading. “The thread is more loyal to the skin, the girls almost do not feel pain,” Alexandra continues, “and the redness after it disappears faster. The hairs under it do not break off like under tweezers. “

The thread is used not only to remove colorless, vellus hair, but also to create a shape – if you want to highlight the ponytail or draw the top line. It is quick and clean, this correction lasts for a long time.

Coloration

There are two types of dyeing: pure pigment and henna. The difference is noticeable: the dye acts only on the hairs, leaving the skin clean, and henna dyes it, making the eyebrow brighter. The main trend this year is capsule coloration. This is an individual package of paint in a microcapsule not larger than a cough tablet. It is used entirely for one customer instead of the traditional mixing of paint from a large tube.

Girls with thick eyebrows, as a rule, ask not to paint over their skin, they only make their hairs a couple of tones darker. The ideal eyebrow tone matches the color of the hair roots (of course, if you are not a dyed blonde). It is most complimentary to skin tone. Those with large gaps in their eyebrows prefer henna – it is safe for the skin and dyes it a little paler than the hairs.

Your technician should rinse off the nasal area almost immediately. The brow itself lasts less than the hair during dyeing, only seven minutes.

“If a girl does not dye her eyebrows, then we model her shape using a make-up. I use a fine-tipped pencil to draw in the hairs for a full brow effect. Another type of popular pencil is with a large wax lead that gives both color and fixation, ”says Alexandra Stein.
