The casting for the popular city beauty contest “Miss Yekaterinburg – 2017” begins again. Applications are accepted on the project website until June 18. And Woman`s Day remembered the advice given to future participants by the winners of the competition, who later became “Miss Russia”.
Miss Yekaterinburg is an anniversary this year – it will be held for the 20th time. Therefore, everything will be special. The final of the competition will move to a new site – to the Cosmos KKT and to a new format – the “beauty forum”. The teaching staff will be stellar – for more than 50 days of competition, the strongest teachers in defile, speech, choreography, fitness trainers and psychologists will prepare the participants for the final show.
The Ural will meet all the winners in its 20-year history. Among them are the famous Yekaterinburg women Sofia Nikitchuk, who became Miss Russia in 2015 and at the same time – vice-miss of the world; as well as Irina Antonenko, Miss Russia – 2010, actress. The victory in “Miss Yekaterinburg” opened the way for both beauties to the big cinema. Now they live in Moscow, star in films and TV shows.
Irina Antonenko, Miss Yekaterinburg – 2009, Miss Russia – 2010:
– Mom and Dad never called me a beauty in childhood. The story about me is like from the cartoon about the ugly duckling. As a child, I was not popular, I fought with guys at school, I didn’t have a boy. And only when I won Miss Yekaterinburg, people recognized that I was beautiful. But I didn’t think that I was more beautiful than other girls. It was just my way: I had to use beauty contests to fulfill my dream – to play in the theater, in the cinema.
And about the stereotype “beautiful – stupid” … They appear only thanks to those who have problems with themselves.
Now I understand that if you believe in something, then you are capable of much. You don’t have to think about how to do it, how to go and where to go. You just have to believe, and the Universe will build your destiny in such a way that you will find yourself where you should and would like to be.
Irina’s mother told the Telesem magazine:
– In 2009, the Miss Yekaterinburg contest was the most desirable in Irina’s life. She couldn’t wait to get close to her age. When there were only a few days left until the age of 18, my daughter applied for participation. We just arrived from Turkey, were resting. Irina was all tanned, energetic, fit!
Sofia Nikitchuk, Miss Yekaterinburg – 2014, Miss Russia – 2015:
– At school, I was practically the tallest in my class, and always had complexes. But once my mother sat me down in front of her and said: “Sofia, you can be of any height, but you can present yourself in such a way that you will walk down the street, and people will look after you.”
Initially, when I was still participating in the Miss Yekaterinburg contest, everyone told me: “We must win! And then go to the Miss Russia contest. I thought: “How so? Such a great competition! To win there, I don’t know who you need to be! ”. But then, when I started preparing for the competition, I realized that nothing is impossible! And if you give your all 100%, then you can achieve good results.
Never doubt yourself and your strength! If you realized that you can achieve success and took some step along this path, this is already a great victory. The main thing is not to stop. I really love my comfort zone, and it was very difficult for me to leave Yekaterinburg to prepare for Miss Russia, but I realized how successful this could be for me. And I realized that you need to be able to leave your comfort zone in order to achieve results.
Elizaveta Anikhovskaya gave advice to future participants and Miss Yekaterinburg – 2016:
– Life before the competition and after it is very different. Now it is filled with interesting events. Every day is different from the previous one.

You must fill out a questionnaire on … The application contains the full name, age, height and weight, contact information, information about the level of education, as well as links to accounts on social networks. It is required to attach a full-length photo and a portrait photo without makeup. All profiles are initially screened. The deadline for accepting questionnaires is June 18.
Age – from 18 to 25 years old at the time of the final show (August 11), height – not less than 170 cm, not married, no children, no tattoos on the body and experience of participating in photography and video filming in the nude. The next stage will be individual interviews and the final casting on June 19.

In addition to casting for participation in the beauty contest, the organizers announced the recruitment of volunteers – five young people aged 18 to 25 years. They will get a chance to see with their own eyes how the Miss Yekaterinburg show is being created.
