Some summer residents suffer from a type of soil that is not suitable for growing whimsical varieties of carrots. Most often, such gardeners choose “Canada” carrots. This variety has excellent taste characteristics, but most importantly, such carrots grow in any soil and at the same time have a high yield. Also, this carrot is one of the varieties with a high content of vitamins in the composition.
Description of carrots of the variety “Canada”
This carrot variety is excellent for sale as it has a good appearance. The carrots are bright orange in color with juicy pulp and the same color of the core, which is difficult to distinguish from the rest of the pulp by color. Carrots range in size from 15 to 20 centimeters. Weight from 120 to 200 grams.
The variety is medium late, so it takes 3 to 4 months from the moment of planting to the appearance of fruits.
Suitable for both fresh consumption and for preparing various dishes, processing, freezing and preparing winter preparations.

The characteristics of this carrot variety are good. Carrots are suitable both for personal use and for sale due to their properties.
Unpretentiousness. As mentioned earlier, the main advantage of this variety is that the carrots are suitable for growing in any soil. Of course, in fertile soil, you will get the best results. But unlike whimsical carrots, the harvest from this variety will also be good.
Frost resistance. This variety is not afraid of temperature extremes, therefore it is suitable for regions with cool summers.
Disease resistance. This is also an important property of carrots, as it ensures that your crop will not be spoiled by disease.
Productivity. From 1 sq. m can be harvested from 5 to 8 kilograms of crops.
Good taste. Carrots have a sweet and juicy taste.
Long shelf life. This is important both when growing carrots for yourself and for sale. Carrots can be transported over long distances, and they will not lose their presentation.
Keep in mind, however, that this carrot variety does not tolerate manure fertilization. To do this, you need to use only mineral fertilizers.
High content of vitamin A. There are 100 mg of carotene per 21 grams of carrots.
Other positive characteristics of carrots include their unpretentiousness to sunlight and the ability to be stored for a long time even in simple conditions.
If you want to tinker with carrots as little as possible, or you have poor soil and little sunlight on the site, then planting Canada carrots is an excellent solution for you. Despite the long ripening period and intolerance to fertilization with manure, this carrot has excellent properties and characteristics.
