Carpal tunnel syndrome – Our doctor’s opinion: Understand everything in 2 min

Carpal tunnel syndrome is certainly the first diagnosis to consider in cases of numbness in the hands. But see your doctor, because there are other possible causes.

Wearing a splint and sometimes injecting cortisone are advisable while reviewing posture at work and trying to eliminate any aggravating factor. Remember that 1 in 3 people get over it spontaneously!

The fact remains that some patients will need surgery. This produces good results. It prevents the nerve from losing all its function, in cases where it has been compressed for too long, and the muscles of the hand atrophying.
