Carp in the oven: how to bake? Video

Carp is a fatty, juicy and tasty fish. Its meat is very tender in structure, although a little bony. Carp is good to fry, smoke and bake in the oven or grill. There are many recipes for this.

You will need: – 1 carp weighing 1,5–2 kg; – 2 large tomatoes; – a pound of onions; – 200 g sour cream; – a tablespoon of lemon juice; – sunflower oil for frying; – 2 tsp spices for fish; – salt.

Scale the carp, it usually comes off easily. Cut off the fins from the sides, abdomen and back. It is more convenient to do this with scissors. Be sure to remove the gills from the head, cut off the tail fin. Gut the carp and wash. Dry with a tea towel. Season with salt on all sides, drizzle with lemon juice and set aside.

Peel the onion and chop it in half rings, cut the tomatoes into thin slices. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the carp on one side until thin. Flip the fish over and add the onion. Continue cooking while stirring the onions.

When chopping onions, soak the knife in cold water so your eyes won’t water.

As soon as the onion becomes transparent, transfer the fish to a baking dish, put the onion in the same place. Sprinkle everything with fish spices, put tomato slices on the onion in an even layer, salt. Coat carp and tomatoes with sour cream and send the baking sheet with fish to the hot oven for baking. Serve the finished dish hot.

If there is a frying pan without a handle, fry and bake the carp in it, without putting it in an oven dish.

You will need: – 1 carp weighing 1,5–2 kg; – 1 lemon or lime; – white peppercorns; – ground black pepper; – salt.

Scale the carp, cut off the fins, tail, remove the gills and gut. Wash the carcass under running water, wipe with napkins. Make a spicy mixture of ground black pepper and salt. Rub the carp inside and out with it. Cut a lemon or lime into slices and place them in the belly. Add a few white peppercorns to enhance the flavor. If caviar or milk is inside the carp, do not throw it away, but wash, salt, pepper, put the fish inside.

Wrap the carp with foil, pinch the edges well, place on a baking sheet and place in a hot oven at 220 ° C. In half an hour, the fish will be ready. Remove the baking sheet, unfold the foil, wait 10 minutes, then transfer the carp to a platter and serve. If you want an appetizing crust, unfold the foil 10 minutes before cooking and bake the fish until browned.

Baked carp is delicious both hot and cold.
