Everyone only cares about themselves?

There is an interesting opinion that no matter how much they talk about caring for others, in the end everyone takes care of themselves. How true is this? See →

Positive and negative motives for caring

The motives for caring can be both positive — love, gratitude, respect, and negative — fears.

Care based on fear (don’t leave me anywhere — suddenly something happens !!) — bad care, care to a small extent, care «in quotation marks», because it limits the freedom of the one who is so taken care of. More often it turns out to be caring for ourselves, and not for someone we seem to care about.

Examples of caring with positive motivation

  • Ensure security while maintaining maximum freedom: go of course, just don’t forget the phone to call — this is a concern.
  • Or, for example, warn them not to post information on the site in the near future, because it can disappear — this is a concern :).
