It is estimated that up to 15 million Poles suffer from hypertension.

The National Health Test of Poles also showed that diagnosed arterial hypertension is 26 percent. respondents. A large proportion of people may not even know that they have pressure problems because high blood pressure develops slowly and imperceptibly.

We also learn from the report that 9 percent. of respondents are diagnosed with heart disease (ischemic heart disease / heart valve defect / heart failure / atrial fibrillation). The percentage of people with these diseases increases with age.

More than half of the respondents admitted that in their immediate family cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension, heart attack or stroke, appeared at an early age (in women before 65 and in men under 55).
