Cardiovascular diseases are quite common and dangerous health problems. It is not worth waiting for the symptoms of these diseases to worsen, as advanced disease can be life-threatening. The cardiological profile, i.e. a set of tests that will allow you to detect heart diseases and assess the risk of a heart attack, comes in handy.

What is the cardiological profile?

The cardiological profile is a form of prevention of cardiovascular diseases. It can be used by people who want to have a checkup – it is worth doing after the age of 35. Diagnostic tests should also be carried out by overweight or obese people, smoking cigarettes, at family risk of developing heart disease, suffering from hypertension or the elderly. One should not forget about cardiological diagnostics if we have had a heart attack or have already been treated for cardiovascular diseases.

Do laboratory tests with a cardiological profile include lipid profile, morphology, measurement of glucose, potassium, creatine kinase (CK) and ALAT and ASPAT enzymes. These are basic diagnostic tests that should be accompanied by a medical visit, including an interview with the patient and blood pressure measurement. Imaging tests such as ECG, X-ray or echocardiography are also helpful in assessing the overall health of the heart.

Regular examinations and a balanced diet should be supported with appropriately selected supplements. A set of natural dietary supplements for the heart with potassium, magnesium, B vitamins and vitamin E are now available at Medonet Market.

Monitor your heart rate at home

Use your home EKG and collect and send the results to a specialist for 7 or 14 days. Order an EKG recorder on the haloDoctor platform and check your heart rate without leaving your home.

  1. As part of preventive health care, it is worth checking yourself regularly by performing general examinations, i.e. basic examinations.

Basic cardiological examinations

The primary method that allows you to control proper functioning the cardiovascular system, are blood pressure measurements. With the use of a blood pressure monitor, this measurement can be performed at home. It will not replace a visit to a doctor who, apart from measuring the blood pressure, will auscultate the patient and suggest possible additional tests. However, home prophylaxis will already be a guideline for the patient.

Blood pressure should be checked more often if we lead a stressful lifestyle, lack exercise, gained weight, smoke cigarettes or start to tire faster. So far, the correct blood pressure may change under the influence of various factors and increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The cardiological profile will be a step towards more accurate diagnostics.

Take care of your heart! Order Ubiquinol 100mg – Doctor Life dietary supplement, i.e. a complex of active substances responsible for nourishing the heart.

  1. Check which blood pressure monitor will work at home – shoulder or wrist?

Laboratory tests with a cardiological profilethat should be done as part of prevention are:

  1. Morphology. A general blood test is used to assess its quantitative and qualitative composition. It allows you to detect anemia and chronic diseases related to the heart and circulation. Deviations from the norm may constitute a prerequisite for further research. The cost of a blood count usually does not exceed PLN 15.
  2. ALaT. The level of ALAT, or alanine aminotransferase, is measured in the blood serum. The test result indicates whether the patient has had heart damage, heart failure, or a heart attack. ALT measurements are also performed as one of the liver tests. The cost of the test is PLN 8 on average.
  3. ASpaT. The second liver test performed as part of the cardiological profile is the measurement of the level of ASPAT (aspartate aminotransferase). The test is used to determine the condition of the heart because it can reveal its necrosis or heart attack. The price of a blood test for ASPAT is about PLN 8.
  4. The lipidogram – total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL – is a test performed to assess the condition of blood vessels. Inappropriate cholesterol levels are often associated with atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease, and may lead to myocardial infarction or stroke. Privately, we will pay from 25 to 35 PLN for the lipidogram.
  5. CK (creatine kinase). Testing the activity of creatine kinase, i.e. CK or CPK, is used, among others to diagnose heart disease including trauma, heart attacks and myocarditis. The increased concentration of this enzyme is evidence of cardiovascular diseases. The price of the CK test is about PLN 10, while the CK-MB mass cardiac fraction test can cost an average of PLN 30.
  6. Glucose. Glucose measurement is important in cardiac diagnosis as the results may indicate diabetes or glucose intolerance. Diabetics are more likely to develop cardiovascular disease, including high blood pressure, ischemic heart disease, and stroke. The glucose test costs from 9 to 15 PLN, while the price of the glucose load test is 18-45 PLN.
  7. Potassium. Potassium measurements are useful in detecting cardiac diseases. By assessing the amount of potassium in the blood serum, it is determined whether the body is in electrolyte balance. The functioning of nerve and muscle cells depends on it, and therefore, to a large extent, the correct work of the heart. The cost of testing the potassium concentration in the blood is about PLN 10.

Cardiological examinations will enable the assessment of the heart’s work. However, it is worth taking care of them much earlier. Prophylaxis is very important in the case of heart diseases. Heart-related dietary supplements may be of use. At Medonet Market, you can now buy natural dietary supplements with coenzyme Q10, which strengthens the heart and supports blood vessels. We also recommend the Klimuszko Mystery of a Healthy Heart Nalewka, which is available at a promotional price.

Preparation for examinations with a cardiological profile

Na Blood tests belonging to the cardiology profile package, you should go on an empty stomach. The sampling is usually performed from a vein in the arm. Before the tests, you should give up alcohol, do not smoke, limit physical exertion, and eat the last meal the day before blood sampling. It is also good to consult your doctor about taking medications, because, for example, intramuscular injections are not recommended in the case of CK activity tests. When planning a lipid profile, it is advisable to eat a low-fat and easily digestible dinner. We should also remember that the test results should be consulted with a doctor.

If you want to support the work of your heart and the entire circulatory system, drink CARDIATEFIX regularly – herbal tea available on Medonet Market.
