Capillary mesh on the legs: causes and treatment. Video

With age, many women develop swelling and heaviness in their legs. The capillary mesh comes in and the veins become more visible. These are symptoms of a serious disease – varicose veins.

Fighting capillaries on the legs at home

To prevent or slow down the development of varicose veins, a number of rules must be followed. Lose excess weight as it puts additional stress on your circulatory system. Avoid being on your feet for a long time. If you have to stand a lot for work, wear special compression stockings, comfortable shoes, and sometimes try to sit down for at least a couple of minutes to relieve your legs. The cause of venous disease can be smoking, alcohol, drugs and certain hormonal drugs. Also, blood vessels can expand and burst from excessive physical exertion, for example, lifting weights.

In any pharmacy, you can buy gels and ointments that relieve swelling and heaviness from the legs. Heparin ointment is especially effective in the fight against varicose veins

Baths with turpentine or a decoction of oak bark help to remove the capillary mesh. You can strengthen the walls of blood vessels and make them more elastic by regularly performing a simple set of exercises.

  • Roll from toe to heel. Up to 20 times.
  • Lift your foot off the floor and rotate it clockwise and then in the opposite direction. 20 times with each leg.
  • Walk in place for 1-2 minutes without lifting your socks off the floor.
  • Lying on your back, do the “bike” exercise.
  • Lying on your back, straighten your socks with force, then pull them towards you. Repeat 5-10 times.

Medical methods for removing the capillary mesh on the legs

There are a number of medical cosmetic procedures that effectively remove the vascular network.

Sclerotherapy is an operation performed if the diameter of the damaged vessels is more than 1 mm. In 80% of cases, it completely eliminates the capillary network and does not leave scars on the skin. A drug is injected into the diseased vessel with a needle, gluing its walls.

Photocoagulation is an effective treatment applied to vessels less than 1 mm in diameter. The laser seals small subcutaneous capillaries. This is a painless and safe procedure, after which, however, there are traces that dissolve within 2 months.

Ozone therapy is the use of ozone for medicinal purposes. This is the newest way to remove spider veins. An ozone-containing drug is administered subcutaneously or intravenously. It significantly improves blood microcirculation, reduces the size of varicose nodules, removes the vascular network, makes the walls of the veins more elastic and resilient, and strengthens the capillaries.
