Canti (Kanti)

Canti (Canti) is a relatively young, but already well-known brand of premium Italian sparkling wine. Developed by Gianni Martini, owner of Fratelli Martini Secondo Luigi Spa. The manufacturer positions the drink as personifying the refined style of Italy. Under the Canti brand, seven types of champagne are produced, most of the products are exported.

Historical reference. The brand appeared in 2001. The famous winemaker Gianni Martini came up with the idea to create a drink that would embody the national traditions and spirit of the country. The creation of the recipe lasted almost a year, Martini attracted the best specialists from his company Fratelli Martini Secondo Luigi Spa to work.

A lot of controversy was caused by the name of the new brand – it was necessary to choose a word that would evoke a direct association with Italian culture. It was decided that the name Canti (translated as “song”) conveys the richness of the taste of sparkling wine and the emotions that it evokes in the best possible way. Already in 2002, the brand was successfully introduced in the UK, and in the next few years conquered the world market.

Canti champagne is made from selected Piedmontese grapes, part of the raw materials are supplied by farms from different parts of Italy. The company’s own wineries are located throughout the country. Wine materials are prepared at small factories, which are then brought to the head office in Cossano Belbo, where craftsmen make blends for various Canti brands. About 30 million bottles roll off production lines every year.
