Fish pie is an ancient dish popular in Russia. You can prepare it from any savory dough. Any fresh or salted fish, as well as canned food, are suitable as a filling.

To bake a delicious fish pie, you will need: – 500 grams of kefir; – 200 grams of sour cream; – 0,5 teaspoon of soda; – 2 eggs; – salt to taste; – 1 tablespoon of sugar; – flour (in an amount sufficient to obtain consistency of thick sour cream); – 800 grams of pink salmon fillet; – 2 large onions; – 70 grams of butter; – salt to taste; – pepper to taste.
Whisk eggs with salt, sugar and baking soda in a deep cup, then add kefir and sour cream. Stir the ingredients, then gently add the flour to make a thick dough like sour cream.
Cut the fish into thin slices with salt and pepper. Cut onions into half rings, butter into small cubes. Grease a baking sheet and pour half of the dough on it, spread the pink salmon, onion and pieces of butter on it. Pour the remaining dough over the filling.
Place the pie in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake until tender. You can determine it with a match, which you need to pierce the cake. If the match remains dry, then the cake is ready.
Canned fish is a great filling for baked goods. To make a pie with fish filling, you will need: – 2 raw eggs; – 3 cups of flour; – 1 teaspoon of salt; – 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil; – 0,5 cups of water; – 1 can of canned fish; – 2 boiled eggs ; – greens; – 1 raw yolk.
Knead the eggs, water, butter and flour into a dough. Put it in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for 5 minutes. Drain the liquid from the canned fish, mash the fish with a fork, mix with finely chopped boiled eggs and chopped herbs.
Divide the dough in two and roll out. Place one on a greased baking sheet, spread the filling evenly on top and cover with a second layer of dough. Pinch the edges, brush the cake with whipped yolk and place in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Pierce the cake in several places with a fork before placing it in the oven.
The pie stuffed with catfish meat turns out to be juicy and tender. To prepare it, you will need: – 2 eggs; – 300 grams of kefir; – 1 pack of margarine; – 1 teaspoon of fine salt; – 1 teaspoon of sugar; – 0,5 teaspoon of baking powder for dough; – 3 cups of flour; – 600 grams of catfish fillet; – 2 onions; – a bunch of greens; – 1 raw yolk.
Knead a soft dough from kefir, margarine, eggs, salt, sugar, baking powder and flour. Put it in the refrigerator for 20-25 minutes. Cut the fish into small pieces, combine with chopped herbs and finely chopped onions. Season the filling ingredients with salt and pepper and mix well.
If the cake is burnt, hold the baking sheet over steam for a few minutes – now it will easily come off the bottom
Divide the dough into two and roll out. Put one part in a greased form and spread the catfish filling on it. Cover with another layer of dough on top, pinch the edges, brush with yolk and bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees.
