Cancer oncology danger of infection
Scientists have found that there are viruses and microorganisms that can trigger the oncological process. On February 4, the entire planet celebrates World Cancer Day. On the occasion of Woman’s day I decided to find out if there are ways to resist the disease.
Helicobacter pylori bacteria can settle in the stomach. They look like spirals, capable of screwing into the mucous membrane, thereby causing gastritis and even ulcers. If chronic inflammation occurs, there is a chance that tissue overgrowth will begin. Against the background of this phenomenon, in some cases, oncology occurs.
Studies have shown that people who have Helicobacter pylori are much more likely to develop stomach cancer. Since the bacterium is transferred from person to person, it can be assumed that this type of cancer is contagious.
The virus is transmitted through saliva, mucus, when using common utensils, when kissing.
Stomach cancer may be asymptomatic at an early stage, sometimes it manifests itself in the form of severity and pain in the abdomen and anemia
In our country, stomach cancer is more common than in European countries. And this is due not only to violations of the diet, a small amount of vegetables and fruits in the diet, but also to living conditions. In a small apartment, family members become infected with the Helicobacter pylori virus faster. Therefore, if a dangerous bacterium is found in one of those living in the house, everyone must be examined.
Everyone should remember about precautions.
1. People over 45 are advised to regularly undergo gastroscopy with a test for Helicobacter pylori. Frequent heartburn, belching, pain in the upper abdomen, stomach ulcers and gastritis are another reason for examination.
2. Excessive alcohol consumption and tobacco smoking increase the risk of developing stomach cancer, so you need to give up bad habits.
3. If Helicobacter pylori is detected, antibiotics are prescribed. They help cure gastritis and stomach ulcers.
If you experience unpleasant symptoms, you cannot self-medicate. Only after the examination, the doctor can prescribe the desired drug.
Where danger did not await
There is another type of oncology that can be contracted. This is bladder cancer. Swimming in fresh water is often the cause of this disease. The fact is that the parasite schistosome lives in ponds and rivers. He is attracted by the warmth of the human body. The schistosoma enters the body through the skin and mucous membranes, in particular, it enters the bladder, where it begins to actively multiply. Parasites secrete carcinogenic substances, and they contribute to the formation of cancerous tumors.
Symptoms of schistosomal infection are frequent painful urination, blood in the urine. To diagnose the disease, you need to do a cystoscopy, as well as pass a urine test for schistosome eggs. To get rid of parasites, you need to take special medications.
Schistosomes can live in the human body for up to 10 years. Men are five times more likely to fall prey to these parasites
