Cancer-Causing Foods

The oncologist-endocrinologist told what kind of food contains carcinogens that are extremely dangerous to health.

This is not to say that this or that product causes cancer, but there are many ways of cooking, storage conditions, conditions for obtaining a particular product, when the likelihood of oncology increases. And, of course, the main “pests” can be called carcinogens.

There can be a lot of them in food: dioxins, heavy metals, pesticides, nitroso compounds, carcinogenic polycyclic hydrocarbons. And there are foods in which the risk of carcinogen content is too high.

1. Dried, smoked meat, canned meat, pickled vegetables

Of course, it cannot be argued that all these products contain one hundred percent of a huge amount of carcinogens. It all depends on the quality of the original product, that is, carcinogenic nitroso compounds, for example, can come from a contaminated environment. If the product was initially adversely affected, carcinogens have already accumulated in it, then such processes as frying, canning, only enhances their synthesis. The influence of carcinogenic nitroso compounds is fraught with dire consequences – tumors of the stomach, esophagus, liver, nasal cavity, pharynx, kidneys, bladder, brain and other organs.

2. Mushrooms

It is no secret that mushrooms have the ability to absorb, like a sponge, all harmful substances. Mushrooms contain a lot of radionuclides (most often they are cesium-137 and strontium-90). Undoubtedly, careful processing of mushrooms significantly reduces the amount of harmful substances, but still some of them remains in the product. And as you know, radionuclides are capable of causing malignant tumors.

3. E-supplements

These are the very codes in which harmful preservatives and additives can hide. Therefore, it is better to have a list of pests at hand, or know at least the most harmful ones. For example, preservatives E-200 to E-290, as well as E-1125 can not only cause food allergies and gastrointestinal upset, but also have a devastating effect on the liver. Taste enhancers U-620 to E-637 lead to nervous disorders and brain tumors. Stabilizers and thickeners from E-249 to E-252, E-400 to E-476, E-575 to E-585 and E-1404-1450, as well as emulsifiers from E-322 to E-442, E-470 to E-495 leads to gastrointestinal oncology. No less dangerous are antioxidants from E-300 to E-312, E-320 to E-321 and food colors from E-100 to E-180, E-579 and E-585 – the risk of malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidneys, etc. .d.

4. Drinking water

Yes, unfortunately, carcinogenic substances can also get into drinking water. Never drink tap water without thermal treatment – that is, boiling. The fact is that when drinking water is chlorinated, substances that can cause cancer are formed. Water must be filtered before drinking or using it for cooking! Remember, settling water without filtration and subsequent boiling will not rid the water of carcinogens. Boiling kills germs, but not ill-fated compounds. Install a water filter and protect yourself from risk.

5. Fried foods

It is not for nothing that all doctors and nutritionists claim that fried food is unhealthy. It is not as dangerous to your figure as it is to your overall health. The fact is that when frying, and especially in oil, which has been used more than once, carcinogenic polycyclic hydrocarbons are formed in the product. And long-term use of such products can cause malignant tumors.

6. Alcohol

Alcohol itself does not contain carcinogens, but its very action is dangerous. It can activate the synthesis of carcinogens already present in the body, weaken the absorption of vitamins and immunity in general. A weakened immune system is most at risk not only from external factors, but also from the outside.

7. Moldy food

Mold can contain carcinogenic mycotoxins. These harmful substances enter food as a result of parasitism on various foods and feeds of mold fungi, which most often affect grains, nuts, and legumes. By the way, these carcinogens are not cooked, that is, they are not destroyed, but remain in the product. A type of microtoxin, the aflatoxins of moldy foods can cause liver, kidney, and colon cancer. Rotten fruits and vegetables are very dangerous – molds quickly develop on them.

8. Table salt

Excessive consumption of table salt increases the risk of stomach and bladder cancer. Therefore, it is better to minimize the amount of salt in the food, as well as add salt to the ready-made dish.

The consumption of chips, fast food, smoked meats, margarine, environmentally contaminated vegetables and fruits, alcohol, hot water, of course, increases the risk of developing cancer. However, compliance with simple rules of storage and processing of food, the use of environmentally friendly products, and the very knowledge about the dangers of carcinogens can effectively help you in the prevention and control of cancer. And also in the prevention of other formidable pathologies: obesity, diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis and many others.
