Canari liqueur: an overview of tastes and types + how to drink

Canari – another representative of classic liqueurs. At first glance, it does not differ from other drinks in this category. This is not surprising, because most manufacturers produce unsuccessful copies of famous brands, but at the same time they forget about the quality and, most importantly, the taste of the product.

The history of the creation of Canary liqueur

Henkell & Co. Corporation Sektkellerei KG is a German wine, sparkling wine and spirits company. Founded by Adam Henkell in 1907. We will not go into the details of the formation and development of the corporation, but fast forward 83 years ahead.

It was at this time in 1990 that a representative office of HENKELL & CO was opened in Poland (the city of Torun). Toruń wine cellars HENKELL & CO. Polska Sp. z oo specialized in the production of wine products: sparkling wines, table wines, dessert wines and vermouth.

Over time, other spirits appeared in the company’s portfolio, including: gin, vodka, brandy, ready-made cocktails and liquors (Canari, Nalewka Babuni and Dalkowski Advocaat).

For a long time, Canary was produced exclusively in Poland, until in 2007 the Kiev Stolichny Champagne Factory became part of the Henkell & Co group of companies, and from that moment on, liqueurs of this brand began to be produced in Ukraine as well.

Such a turn did not affect the quality of the drink in any way, but only prompted the development and expansion of the line of flavors and aromas.

Types and features of Canary liqueur

Initially, the line of Canari liqueurs included exclusively cream liqueurs, and after 2007, fruit and berry novelties appeared.

The strength of liqueurs is 15 degrees, and is available in small bottles of 350 ml.

The production process uses classical technology and natural ingredients without the use of synthetic additives.
