Canadian sells three-story mansion for an essay

The owner of the estate invites everyone to write a short essay, and the best author will receive a valuable prize.

A luxurious house with an area of 360 square meters, with three bedrooms, a wine cellar, a plot of four thousand square meters, which even has its own pond, a panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains – all this was estimated by realtors at one million seven hundred thousand US dollars. Translated into our money, this is almost 112 million. Incidentally, less than the not-so-cute apartment in the center of Moscow, which we wrote about recently. And all this happiness the hostess of the house, a resident of Canada named Alla Wagner, is ready to give for … an essay. And a little bonus of $ 25 Canadian dollars. This is 1250 rubles.

“I would never leave here in my life. It is very beautiful in here. I love to watch how ducks and swans swim in our pond, on the snow-capped mountains, on this starry sky … ”- says Alla Wagner.

But her health condition no longer allows her to live here. Therefore, she decided to part with the house. Nobody dared to buy a house for the announced price of 1,7 million. Therefore, Alla announced a competition: you need to write an essay, story, letter, essay – whatever – about how moving to this house will change your life. Keep the story short, no more than 350 words. The letter must be accompanied by CAD 25. As soon as there are so many applications that the entry fees from the contestants will cover the cost of the house, the best 500 stories will be chosen by voting. And from them, a competent jury will choose the future owner of the mansion.

Alla Wagner, mistress of the house

It may, of course, happen that there will be too few applications and the required amount will not be reached. Then Alla Wagner promises to return all funds sent to her. But it’s too early to talk about it – the competition will run until April, or even longer. In addition, letters are poured onto the mistress of the house as if from a cornucopia.

By the way, not everyone liked Alla’s idea. In the comments to the announcement of the competition on the woman’s Facebook page, messages like “Why is it so expensive? , the matter is unclean. ” However, the dissatisfied are quickly assailed by enthusiasts: “Expensive – don’t participate. Instead of throwing mud at a stranger, just close your mouth and walk past. ” It seems that the last phrase should become the golden rule for communication on the Internet.

Well, we have collected a photo of a beautiful mansion: what if one of you wants to live there?
