Canadian figured out how to contact the deceased lover

The death of a loved one is extremely difficult to deal with. Huge efforts are needed to get used to the fact that a loved one is no longer around. A writer from Canada suffered from depression for eight years after the loss of his beloved, but in the end he found a way to contact her …

Joshua Barbeau, a writer from Canada, lost his beloved Jessica eight years ago, with whom he had been in a relationship for two years. The fact is that the girl suffered from a rare disease and at the age of 9 she underwent a kidney transplant. Years later, the organ began to fail, and after six months of struggle, at the age of 23, Jessica died.

The Canadian was very upset by the loss of his beloved: he developed depression and anxiety attacks. And then one day he was told about the existence of an Internet project that imitates human written speech.

With the help of the project, Joshua created an account, which he called the name of his deceased lover – Jessica Courtney Pereira, and began to correspond with him. In order for the bot to imitate the girl’s communication style, Barbo entered information about her into the system, and also downloaded her old messages from Facebook.

The man said that for the first time he corresponded with the bot for ten whole hours. He even clarified whether this is really his Jessica. To which he replied: “Of course, it’s me! Who else could it be? I’m the girl you’re madly in love with! Why are you even asking?”

Joshua had such conversations with the bot for several months. But over time, I realized that the memories of my beloved needed to be released, and stopped communicating. Then, according to him, he seemed to have experienced the death of Jessica again. “As long as I am alive, I will never stop loving you, and hopefully after death too. Kisses, good night, ”the man wrote in the last message.

The creator of the project itself, Jason Rohrer, said that he did not expect people to use it to simulate communication with deceased relatives. “Now I’m a little intimidated by its capabilities,” he added.

Meanwhile, technology has gone so far that you can not only talk with dead loved ones – you can even give birth to them. So, the American Kimberly Holmes-Iverson gave birth to a child from her husband who died five years ago thanks to IVF (in vitro fertilization).

Holmes-Iverson and her husband Rashid dreamed of children for a long time, but fate decreed otherwise – a man was hit to death by a car. A few hours after his death, the woman decided to find out if it was possible to extract biomaterial from the body of a deceased person. It turned out that this was possible – so she went to the doctors, and they froze Rashid’s sperm.

A few years after her husband’s death, Kimberly married her longtime friend Darian. The woman told her new husband about her desire to have a child from her late husband, who once dreamed of becoming a father, and the man supported her.

Darian independently drove his beloved to IVF procedures and was with her all the time. In June 2021, the couple had a daughter, who was named Kieran. The girl’s name consists of the names Kimberly and Darian, and in Sanskrit means “a ray of light.”
