Can you keep a fern at home?

City apartments are certainly not rainforest where ferns feel right at home. But, nevertheless, there are species that are more tolerant of dry air: these are citromium, davallia, Cretan pteris, nesting bone and round-leaved pellea. Among them, nephrolepis takes pride of place.

If you are going to get acquainted with these beautiful plants, get nephrolepis. It is easy to care for and has many varieties. The most popular of these on both sides of the Atlantic is the Boston fern with beautifully drooping fishnet leaves. It will look spectacular both on a window and in a hanging basket.
