When can baby eat avocado?

At what age can I give baby avocado? From 6 months, when the child starts to sit in their high chair, you can start giving them avocado in different forms. The optimal time? Potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, copper, phosphorus and manganese”. Avocado is an excellent fruit to facilitate baby’s intestinal transit, since it contains an average of 7% fiber.

But it is not recommended for babies, the lemon being too acidic ”.

The nutritionist’s little extra: if you don’t want to give baby pieces of avocado, you can prepare a spread, with avocado crushed on a fine rusk, or mixed with cheese spread.

Avocado puree recipe for babies (6 to 12 months)

 

1 potato

1/2 organic avocado preferably, very ripe

Preparation

Wash and peel the potato, cut it and put it in a saucepan with water brought to a boil. When the pieces are very tender, drain.

Take the avocado, remove the core, collect the flesh. Mix the avocado and the potato.

Note: do not add salt or spices to baby formula.
