This preparation works by minimizing the amount of fat absorbed from food, which in turn helps to reduce the amount of calories supplied to the body. The action of Calominal supports weight control and also reduces body fat.
The preparation contains chitosan – a substance with the ability to bind lipids. Thanks to this action, the component of Calominal is not digested, but is only excreted by the body together with the bound fats.
Calominal binds fats, but does not have the same effect in the case of carbohydrates, sugar, white or alcohol.
Calominal – composition
If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the preparation, do not use it. The composition of Colominal tablets includes:
- cellulose;
- chitosan (a chitin derivative);
- poliwinylopirolidon;
- magnesium salts of fatty acids;
- silicon dioxide.
The use of the Calominal medical device should be carried out in accordance with the information contained in the leaflet or the recommendations of the doctor or pharmacist. The preparation is in the form of tablets to be taken after a meal with a glass of water (minimum 250 ml). It is also recommended to generally maintain an adequately high level of hydration while using the product – it is advisable to drink 2 to 3 liters of fluids daily during this time.
The dosage of Calominal tablets depends on the purpose for which we reach for the preparation. They are recommended for deliberate weight reduction 2 tablets twice a day. If we want to control body weight, the dose should be lower – 1 tablet twice a day.
Calominal – contraindications
The manufacturer’s leaflet informs about the contraindications to the use of Calominal products. It is not recommended to use it, especially in the case of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. In addition, the product is not indicated in the period pregnancy i breastfeedingand is not intended for use in children under 3 years of age. In the case of older children and adolescents, it is acceptable taking this medical device after consulting a doctor. Medical advice is also essential for seniors over 80, as they should not lose weight on their own.
Calominal should not be used when taking oral contraceptives, some antibiotics or vitamins A, D, K and E. Another contraindication is BMI below 18,5.

Calominal – warnings

- digestive disorders (e.g. constipation), intestinal motility or metabolism;
- taking medications to reduce bowel movements, lipid-lowering medications, or any medications for long-term or long-term use.
If you are taking Calominal tablets and other medications, you should leave at least 4 hours between taking them.
Calominal – side effects
When using Calominal in combination with insufficient fluid intake, flatulence, a feeling of fullness and constipation may appear. Persistent constipation is a reason to discontinue the product and contact your doctor. Some people may also develop an allergic reaction such as skin rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, chills and sweating.
