Calling a plumber at home: what to pay for?
Not everyone knows, but some types of minor repairs should be provided to us free of charge. What do you have to pay for and what you don’t pay for? And how much does this supposedly minor repair cost?
Free repair
These works are included in the cost of “maintenance”, for which we pay every month, and therefore, there is no need to pay extra for them:
Plumber call at home
- Replacement of broken glass and torn sashes of window sashes, vents, door panels, stained glass and display cases, glass blocks in auxiliary rooms at the entrance.
- Elimination of blockages and malfunctions of garbage chutes.
- Elimination of malfunctions of electrical devices: replacement of burnt out light bulbs in common corridors and entrance, repair of breakers, residual current devices.
- Elimination of power supply faults (short circuit, etc.) and electrical equipment of apartments (not through the fault of residents).
- Localization of leaks from a roof malfunction.
- Elimination of malfunctions in heating and hot water supply systems, replacement of heating devices and heated towel rails (standard) in case of leaks.
- Eliminating leaks or changing the flexible connection for connecting plumbing fixtures, replacing the rubber cuffs of the toilet bowl, adjusting the flush cistern with the elimination of leaks, strengthening plumbing fixtures.
- Elimination of blockages in the internal sewerage system.
- Checking the technical condition of gas and electric stoves, if necessary – with the replacement of failed parts (performed by a special company under a contract).
At extra charge
And these work will have to be paid additionally (the approximate (average) cost of work is indicated, since each management organization makes its own estimate):
- Replacing a heated towel rail – from 700 rubles.
- Replacing the mixer – from 670 rubles.
- Toilet repair – from 514 rubles.
- Replacing the washbasin – from 692 rubles.
- Toilet replacement – from 1, 5 thousand rubles. (together with shut-off valves).
- Calling an electrician – about 500 rubles Further (repair and change of intra-apartment wiring, lamps) by agreement, depending on the complexity of the work.
- Changing the socket outlet, switch, switch for open and hidden wiring – from 300 rubles.
- Window glass insert – from 350 rubles.
- Opening the front door if the residents have lost their keys – from 200 rubles. (the cost does not include the restoration of the door).
- Improved quality linoleum flooring, painting or wallpapering the walls, painting window sills, radiators, glazing loggias, replacing door leaves, scraping the floor, etc. – usually by agreement with the master, depending on the complexity of the work (few of the managing organizations can boast of having masters who are ready to perform such work).
- Improvement of the decoration of entrances by the decision of the owners – negotiable price.
