Call the pediatrician at home from the polyclinic: pediatrician’s phone number
Children are often sick, so parents should know the emergency numbers, the clinic and the children’s hospital. Where to call when a child is sick, you need to decide depending on what happened to him.
What phone number can be used to call a pediatrician at home
Parents have 4 ways of acting when their child is sick: call a local doctor, an ambulance, an ambulance, or go to a private clinic. In the latter case, the help is paid, and this amount may turn out to be rather big.
If you can’t call the pediatrician at home, you can take the child to the hospital yourself
You can call a pediatrician from the polyclinic where the child lives for free. To do this, you need to call the medical institution from 8:30 to 12 hours on a working day. If you make a call later, then the doctor will not come that day, then it remains to call an ambulance or “ambulance”.
When making a call, you must give the child’s first and last name, his age, address of residence and the symptoms that the baby has. The doctor can come at any time before the end of the working day.
You can call an ambulance, then the doctor will come within 1 hour after the call.
In the following situations, you need to call an ambulance:
- you did not have time to call the hospital from 8:30 to 12:00 on a working day;
- the child needs help on weekends, holidays or at night;
- the doctor will be there only in the evening, and the child’s condition is rapidly deteriorating;
- your baby needs immediate help, such as a burn or fracture.
You can call an ambulance by dialing “03”, check the phone number of the children’s “ambulance” at the hospital.
What you need to take care of by calling the pediatrician from the clinic
Doctors have many calls, so there is little time for examinations. Prepare for the doctor’s appointment:
- find shoe covers, as the doctor will not take off his shoes;
- prepare a clean towel, a teaspoon – in case you need to examine your throat;
- measure the baby’s body temperature;
- write down on a piece of paper all the symptoms that worry the child so that they will not be forgotten during the visit.
Ask your doctor all your questions.
If you call an ambulance, be prepared to travel to the hospital. Prepare your passport, medical policy, bed linen, towel, clothes for yourself and your baby.
If you called specialists from different services to your home at the same time, mark the call that the doctor will come to later. Be sure to follow all the recommendations of a specialist, if he insists on hospitalization, do not refuse. Your child’s health is at stake.
