What preventive examinations should a woman undergo?
- Chest X-ray – the first examinations should be performed by women at the age of 20. Such a study is enough for about 5 years, and then it is worth repeating it
- Blood count and ESR. – basic blood tests, which should be performed from the age of 20, every 2 years
- Blood sugar – one of the basic tests that every woman over 20 should perform about every 2 years, unless she is at risk of developing diabetes. For diabetics, it is recommended to perform this test more often
- Lipidogram – this is a test that allows you to determine the levels of good and bad cholesterol. They can be done for the first time at the age of 25, and then repeated every 5 years
- Urinalysis – it should also be performed for the first time before the age of 25, and then it can be repeated every 2-3 years
- Dental examinations – absolutely necessary at least once every six months, or every year, starting from childhood, when permanent teeth begin to grow
- Breast self-examination – every woman should have this examination at least once a month. Importantly, this test should be performed between the 6th and 9th day of your cycle
- Gynecological examinations – a young girl can go to the gynecologist for the first time; intercourse women should visit a gynecologist prophylactically at least once a year. It is worth examining the urinary and genital systems even more often, especially after the age of 40
- Cytology – a test worth performing, which should also be carried out once a year
- Pressure Measurement – one of the basic tests that can be performed even at home. Blood pressure should be measured at least once a year
- Transvaginal ultrasound – one of the examinations that should be performed after the age of 30, and then after the age of 40
- Testing the level of thyroid hormones – this is a test that should be performed for the first time in a woman aged 40+. It is enough about once every ten years, so the second time can only be done after the age of 50
- ECG – this examination should be performed prophylactically by all women turning 40 years old
- Breast ultrasound – it is also a test that is recommended for ladies over 40 years of age
- Mammography – preventive breast examination, which is recommended to be performed by women aged 40 and older
