Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex are effervescent tablets recommended for the prevention and treatment of the consequences of calcium and vitamin deficiency. C.

1. Adults and adolescents. 1 tablet 3 × / day,
2. Kids. 7-14. year of life 1 tablet 2 × / d.,
3. Children 3-6. year of life 1 tabl./d.

Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex and contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex are:

1. hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
2. hypercalcemia,
3. hiperkalciuria,
4. severe renal failure,
5. kidney stones,
6. fenyloketonuria,
7. do not use in children under 3 years of age.

Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex – warnings

1. Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex should be used with caution in patients with hyperthyroidism, heart diseases, sarcoidosis and in patients treated with digitalis preparations.
2. Avoid using high doses of vitamin C in people prone to gout, kidney stones and people with excessive iron absorption from the gastrointestinal tract.
3. Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex contains a source of phenylalanine and may be harmful for patients with phenylketonuria.
4. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before taking the preparation.

Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex and other substances

1. Calcium preparation with vitamin C Polfarmex may increase the effect of digitalis sulfonamides and glycosides, and interfere with the absorption process of tetracycline derivatives and fluorine compounds.
2. Thiazide diuretics reduce calcium excretion and vitamin D increases calcium absorption.

Calcium with vitamin C Polfarmex – side effects

The use of Calcium preparation with vitamin C Polfarmex may cause:

1. gastrointestinal disorders (constipation),
2. long-term use may cause hypercalcaemia or hypercalciuria.
