Bursting blood vessels is just a seemingly trivial problem that causes many problems in everyday life to people suffering from this ailment. Although they are not painful, unsightly changes in the skin make it difficult to function, especially when they occur on the face. That is why it is worth knowing how to counteract broken capillaries, especially since the problem, if left alone, may worsen.
Where do broken capillaries come from?
Bursting capillaries are capillaries under the skin that expand and therefore shine through the skin. People with a fair complexion, which increases the visibility of blood vessels, are susceptible to this ailment. As a result, “cobwebs” of red vessels appear on the skin, which in high concentration can cause reddening of the entire skin area. The main reasons for the occurrence of bursting blood vessels include:
- Genetic conditions – in some people, the capillaries run extremely shallow under the skin, which makes them more visible. It is an inherited feature of the body structure.
- Temperature – we are more exposed to broken capillaries during winter or high heat, as well as staying in rooms with extreme thermal conditions.
- Certain diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and hormonal disorders. The latter are a very common cause of broken capillaries in women, because female hormones, or estrogens, have a relaxing effect on the muscles that control the width of blood vessels. Bursting blood vessels on the legs also require special attention, as they may be a harbinger of varicose veins. Borage herb, which has anti-inflammatory properties and reduces redness, will be helpful in the treatment of broken capillaries.
- Pregnancy, because due to the fetus there is an increase in the amount of blood in the body, which the veins react to by enlarging. In addition, there is also a change in the level of hormones.
- The sun also causes blood vessels to enlarge. Bursting blood vessels on the face are often the result of exposure to sunlight without adequate protection.
- Some dietary ingredients. These are especially spicy spices, hot drinks and dishes, as well as alcohol.
If the blood vessels have already dilated, the effect is unlikely to reverse. On the contrary, when they arise once, spider veins can grow larger over time. That is why it is necessary to properly care for couperose skin. For this purpose, it is worth ordering the Bioherba Jasmine Capillary Cream, which seals blood vessels and supports tissue regeneration. Cosmetics with horse chestnut extract are also recommended, such as Vegan chestnut emulsion with pennywort to strengthen blood vessels.
In addition, broken blood vessels on the face are one of the reasons for the difficult-to-treat skin disease called rosacea. It is an inflammation of the skin of the face, caused by swelling and too much blood in the skin tissue. Therefore, if we have a predisposition to broken capillaries, it is worth taking care of the skin in a proper way.
To reduce the visibility of spider veins, use Floslek gel with arnica regularly on dilated capillaries, bruises, bruises and swellings. We also recommend FLOSLEK body lotion for the care of couperose skin, which can be used on the whole body to make it more firm, flexible and moisturized.
Skin care with a tendency to broken capillaries
If our skin type is conducive to the formation of spider veins, it should be given special attention to prevent the deterioration of blood vessel changes. Factors such as:
- Vitamin C supplementation. It participates in the process of collagen production in the body, which is a component responsible, among others, for the thickness and elasticity of the vessels.
- Other ingredients that should be supplied to the body are vitamin K, rutin, arnica, ginkgo biloba extract and linden. All of them have a positive effect on the condition of the capillaries under the skin. They are available in the form of tablets or herbal teas, as well as ingredients of special cosmetics such as creams and gels. We recommend, for example, Bioherba soap bar for couperose and mixed skin. arnica.
- The effect of the cream will be enhanced by the earlier use of an appropriate peeling, i.e. one that will exfoliate without irritating the skin. Granular or retinol-containing peels are not recommended. The best choice is an enzyme peeling designed for sensitive skin.
- Of course, avoiding factors exacerbating this effect is of great importance in reducing the problem of bursting blood vessels. That is why, among other things, it is best to give up alcohol and spicy foods, use sunscreen before going out into the sun, and not to go to the sauna.
If you are prone to broken capillaries, you need to properly care for your skin – both your face and the whole body. Vianek cosmetics are perfect for this, for example:

Proper skin care and supplementation can strengthen the sensitive parts of the skin so that spider veins are less visible. Then a gentle make-up with a green color corrector may be enough to balance the redness.
In the care of flaccid skin with capillaries and discoloration, BIO Orientana serum for couperose skin with vitamin C and mulberry may be helpful. However, if the problem of bursting capillaries is so extensive that the above-mentioned methods do not work, the only solution is a special treatment to close the capillaries. Currently, the most popular method is the pulsed dye laser technology. It involves the use of a special laser beam that destroys the blood vessels under the skin and causes them to be absorbed by the surrounding tissues. The treatment is painless and its only side effect is bruises that last up to several days.
Depending on the size of the broken blood vessels, laser therapy allows you to get rid of them within one to several visits. The only disadvantage of this technology is the cost of such a procedure – carrying it out over the entire face is an expense of up to several hundred zlotys.
Instead of laser removal of capillaries, you can regularly use appropriate care cosmetics, eg FLOSLEK semi-rich cream for couperose skin in a solo version or with a replaceable refill, as well as FLOSLEK cream-mask for capillary skin. We also recommend Bioherba face wash oil, which will properly prepare the skin for further care treatments, thoroughly cleansing it, reducing discoloration and smoothing wrinkles.
