The Central Sanitary Institute ordered the removal of the Burowa Coel fluid, a popular remedy used in the treatment of contusions and inflammations, from all over the country. The decision was made immediately enforceable. Why did GIS make such a decision?
By the decision of the Chief Sanitary Inspector, the medicinal product Burowa Coel 8,5 g / 100 g with the batch number: 20140826 and expiry date: 08.2015 was withdrawn from the market throughout the country.
The entity responsible is Wytwórnia Euceryny Laboratorium Farmaceutyczne Coel Spółka Jawna EZM Konstanty.
The reason for the recall of the product was protocol No. NI-1320-14 from tests carried out at the National Medicines Institute. It showed that the tested sample did not meet the requirements of the specification due to too high pH.

Burowa Coel is an astringent and reduces swelling. It is applied externally to the skin in contusions and swellings of inflammatory soft tissues (the product diluted in water is applied to the affected areas and left to dry). It must not be used on the face, mucous membranes and open wounds, and in the case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug.
