Burning in a solarium: first aid. Video
Despite the fact that tanning is nowhere near as fashionable as it was a few years ago, girls still often visit tanning salons in an effort to achieve a beautiful skin tone. Alas, even when using a special cream, you can get burned if you do not follow the rules for using the solarium. If such a nuisance does happen, you need to take action as quickly as possible.
The first steps when burning in a solarium
If you get burns while sunbathing in a tanning bed, take a cool shower first. Choose a low pressure of water so as not to increase the discomfort, and in no case use soap, shower gel, washcloths, sponges. You just need to rinse your body and then gently pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Apply a special anti-burn cream on the damaged skin, which can be bought at the pharmacy. If it is not yet possible to purchase the product, use sour cream or at least kefir.
After being burned in a tanning bed, people often become very thirsty. If you encounter such a problem, drink warm green tea and cool mineral water – these drinks will help improve your well-being.
The pain from burns can be quite severe, in which case the best option is to use special medications to help ease the discomfort. Medication can also help relieve nausea and fever, other symptoms of burnout. However, remember that when they appear, it is still advisable to call a doctor.
To speed up the healing process, prepare and refrigerate green tea, and then apply compresses. It is also useful to put pieces of tissue dipped in a cold decoction of chamomile on damaged skin areas – this tool effectively relieves pain and irritation, removes redness, soothes the skin, and accelerates the regeneration process.
What to do if you get burned in the solarium
Most of the problems arise if the face is badly burned. In this case, you need to gently wipe the skin with a cold decoction of chamomile, and then apply a mask of chopped cucumber on it. Leave the mask on for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with cool water and apply a special cream on your face.
An oatmeal mask also helps with burns. Mix equal parts flour with warm water, try to remove all lumps and achieve a homogeneous mass, and then cool the product and apply on the skin for 15-20 minutes. This mask will ease pain and even out your skin tone and help remove blemishes, flaking, and irritation.
If this doesn’t work for you, try another recipe: Apply aloe juice to your skin and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then rinse the skin and place a cloth soaked in a mixture of cold milk and water on the damaged area. Such a remedy acts quickly, effectively and at the same time very gently. Use suitable masks and compresses – and the very next day you will see the result.
