This popular saying among researchers comes from the energy changes taking place in the body. For fat to burn, you need carbohydrates. They are one of the elements of obtaining a compound that participates in fat burning.

Without it, fat can burn in a completely different way. This is when ketone compounds begin to form. However, your well-being starts to deteriorate. You have a headache, fatigue and lethargy.

Prolonged acidification of the organism in this way adversely affects health. Hence, it is better to avoid similar situations. Here we have an argument for the presence of carbohydrates in the diet in controlled amounts.

Kasia, so you can say that both of your statements are true, but each of them under certain conditions. So try to avoid sweets and simple sugars and eat often meals containing complex carbohydrates. Then you will lose weight without feeling hungry or feeling unwell.
