Hair as a result of its application gains shine, density and becomes more vital. The components contained in the oil normalize the functioning of hair roots, sebaceous glands and epidermis – the surface layer of the skin. Thanks to this, burdock oil has found wide application in folk medicine as a remedy for the prevention of baldness, for the treatment of various dermatitis, eczema and a number of other skin diseases.
Burdock oil is an infusion of burdock roots, popularly called burdock, in various oils: almond, olive, petroleum jelly. Therefore, if you have patience, it is not difficult to cook it at home. Burdock roots are rich in various vitamins: A, B, C, E; trace elements – calcium, iron, copper, chromium; organic acids, tannins and resinous substances. In addition, in the roots there is a lot, up to 45%, of a wonderful natural adsorbent – inulin. And all this wealth, of course, is contained in burdock oil.
How does burdock oil work?
Thanks to inulin, which absorbs various toxins, the hair shafts and roots, as well as the outer layer of the skin, are cleansed. I must say that the hair very well absorbs all the harmful substances in the air.
After the skin and hair are cleansed, they begin to absorb the nutrients found in burdock oil. The oil also contains some active substances that accelerate and stimulate intercellular metabolism, and, consequently, the replacement of toxins with useful substances.
At the same time, the tanning and enveloping components included in the composition strengthen the hair shaft and create a protective film on its surface, which also visually enlarges the hair and makes it thick and shiny.
Possessing good adsorption and moisturizing properties, the oil can be used on other parts of the body, for example, as a massage, as well as to tone up aging and aging skin. It helps very well in the treatment of dandruff.
The use of burdock oil
The most popular and effective method of application is rubbing a little warmed oil into the skin and hair, after that you need to wait a couple of hours until it is absorbed, and then rinse it off. Various combinations with other natural remedies are very often used. You can, for example, mix the essential oils of lavender, rosemary and basil, and mix a few drops of this mixture with burdock oil and aloe vera gel. This mixture is great for accelerating hair growth and curing dandruff.
Which is better – nature or chemistry?
Like any other natural remedy, the healing effect of burdock oil appears rather slowly. And therefore, it must be applied systematically and for quite a long time.
But on the other hand, as a reward, you will receive a real restoration of the functions of the skin and hair follicles, and not an imaginary effect, as is the case when using chemicals, when all the improvements disappear after you stop using them. In addition, side effects are very rarely observed with natural remedies, and with different chemistry it is almost a rule – one heals, the other cripples.
Finally, we note that the function of any medicine, natural or synthetic, should be to normalize normal life processes, and natural remedies perform this function much better.
