German Buderus boilers are productive, powerful equipment. It is popular not only in private houses and apartments, but also in production. The “smart” control system controls the operation of the heater – in case of malfunctions, a special code is displayed on the display. What do Buderus boiler errors mean? What to do to restore the operation of equipment? We will describe in detail how to deal with the problem.
Features of operation
The Buderus company is famous for the production of boilers that run on almost any type of fuel. You will find solid fuel models that do not depend on the availability of electricity. For work use firewood, coal, briquettes. Differ in the long period of burning, high efficiency.
Liquid fuel operate on diesel, gas. Solid fuel can be paired with diesel vehicles. Electric are dependent on the availability of electricity. Error codes and malfunctions

How to reset the error? It is recommended to reboot the equipment. To do this, hold “Reset” for 5 seconds. If the code is displayed again, then look for the causes of the problem.

Typical faults
Equipment nodes can break without displayed codes. We list the main problems faced by users.
Burner does not turn on. Set the heating regulators and control systems to the “On” mode. Check out these details:
- Protective machines;
- Thermal relays;
- Temperature limiter.
It is possible that the gas sensors have been triggered. Wait 15 minutes – if the boiler does not start to function, clean the chimney shaft. Install new sensors.
No spark. Pull out the ignition cable and try turning on the ignition. If sounds are heard at the same time, then the burner or electrode needs to be replaced. If not, a transformer.
The burner does not light up. What to do:
- Open gas valves;
- Measure pressure;
- Eliminate air accumulation. To do this, you need to restart.
Problems with ionization. No current. How to proceed:
- Correctly connect connections N and L;
- Measure voltage between L and PE. If it is missing, the PE is grounded by installing a transformer;
- Loose connection of the ionization wire. Tighten contacts or replace;
- The burner control is defective. Install the correct part.
Low ionization current (less than 1,5 MPa).
- The ionization electrode is clogged. Cleaning is in progress.
Boiler parts are constantly in contact with moisture, which leads to oxidation of contacts and batteries. Requires device monitoring.
Hear the sound of boiling. Components and parts require cleaning. Experts recommend once a year to carry out a technical inspection of the device, to clean the elements from scale. The heat exchanger, in which water constantly circulates and heats up, is most susceptible to salt deposition. Cleaning filters can be installed to avoid blockages. They reduce the concentration of salts in the water.
Water noise is heard, prolonged heating. This may also indicate an abundance of scale or incorrect settings. The pump speed is adjusted, its turbine is checked.
