How to cook buckwheat porridge with gravy

Dry mushrooms should be prepared in advance. 4 hours before you start cooking, place them in a small bowl and top with boiling water. Leave standing with the lid on the bowl.

Put the buckwheat porridge to boil. Since it is supposed to be gravy, use the simplest recipe for this. Go through the cereal, rinse it. To make the porridge airy and crumbly, put the washed cereal in a dry preheated pan and fry until light brown. Pour the buckwheat into a saucepan, cover with water and cook. When the water boils, reduce heat, season with salt and simmer for another 35–40 minutes.

Peel the onion and chop finely, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Remove the mushrooms from the infusion and squeeze them with your hand. Do not pour out the infusion – it will be used to make the gravy. Lightly chop the mushrooms with a knife or simply cut into small pieces. Cut the meat into small pieces, or thin slices.

Pour the oil into a skillet, heat it well and fry the onion until golden brown. Add carrots and blanch with onions, stirring occasionally, for another 3-4 minutes. Add mushrooms, fry everything together for 2-3 minutes. Put the contents of the pan in a separate bowl.
