Another yellow-leaved variety of vesicle with a characteristic lime-colored crown color. This shrub is less tall and has a height of 1,5 m. Unlike the previous variety, the flowers of this plant have a creamy hue.
Diabolo
Diabolo, also known as Purpureus and Monlo, has snow-white flowers and a luxurious dark purple crown. When grown in the shade, the purple color of the leaf blades acquires a greenish tint. The shrub itself can grow up to 2 – 3,5 m.
Amber jubilee
This variety of vesicle has a very unusual leaf color. In spring and summer, the foliage is painted in orange-green hues, in the autumn it becomes crimson, like a ripe plum. Unlike Diabolo, the Amber jubilee variety is not tall and is 1,2 – 1,5 m in height.
Mindia
Also known as Coppertina, this variety is a hybrid of Darts Gold and Diabolo and grows up to 2,5 m. It boasts exotic coppery leaves that are very refreshing in green plant landscapes. By mid-summer, the foliage palette is enriched with deep purple tones.
Summer Wine
A distinctive feature of the Summer Wine vesicle, or Seward, is its flowing lush branches, covered with dark grape-colored leaves. Due to them, this 1,5-meter plant will become a real decoration of gardens and plots of various designs.
Types of compositions with a vesicle
The advantage of using the vesicle in garden landscaping is that it can be used in almost any arrangement.
So, they look very impressive in group plantings, thanks to large patterned leaf plates. The vesicles in landscape design look very attractive against the background of plants of contrasting colors. The beauty of these unusual shrubs is especially well emphasized by conifers. Purple-leaved varieties favorably set off thujas and spruces of yellowish tones, while yellow-leaved vesicles are more advantageously combined with plants with blue or green needles.
At the same time, this magnificent plant is completely self-sufficient, it is able to delight with its appearance even in complete solitude. This applies not only to the flowering time, but also to the entire spring-summer period.
With the help of the vesicle, you can not only complement group plantings, but also make hedges of amazing beauty to delimit the garden plot. The branched crown, fast growth after pruning and the luxurious color of the vesicle contribute to the creation of both molded and free-growing high and low hedges.
Plain hedges in garden landscape design are good on their own, but they can be given variety and texture if you use several varieties of vesicles of different colors, as shown in the photo below. So, the varieties of the golden-green Nugget and the purple-leaved hybrid Diable d’Or are in perfect harmony with each other. Lemon Dart’s Gold and purple Diabolo look no less impressive in a pair. They are planted in two parallel lines or, alternating varieties one with the other. In the latter case, the bushes are placed in a checkerboard pattern, leaving a space of 40 – 45 cm between the plants.
Neat small hedges of medium-heavy hyphae like Amber jubilee, Summer Wine and Dart’s Gold are ideal for creating natural fences that can separate the playground from the garden or terrace without violating the landscaping style.
When decorating garden paths and the area in front of the house, curb plantings from vesicle bushes have proven themselves well. They emphasize the well-groomed appearance of the site, and in the landscape composition they give completeness.
Bubble in landscape design is also used for two-stage planting. If the lower branches of tall shrubs are exposed, then a lower variety of the plant is planted at a short distance from them. This technique not only hides the lack of green mass, but also looks very elegant.
