Interior design in brown tones

Since experts recommend not to abuse the brown color, before starting the repair, you should decide exactly how you will place it in the interior: whether the walls and floor of this shade will be, or do you want a brown furniture set. You can also limit yourself to the details: hang golden brown curtains, purchase chocolate bedspreads and cushions. When in doubt about your ability as a designer, use a beige shade – it is neutral and goes well with the vast majority of colors, including brown. Having pasted beige wallpaper, you can safely buy walnut furniture and a coffee-colored sofa – the room will no longer look dull.

Be careful when using dark brown in small spaces – this color can make the room look even smaller and darker.

Combination of brown with other colors

Brown looks great with many different shades. First of all, these are “natural” colors – green, reminiscent of the color of foliage and meadow grasses, red and crimson, blue. However, not so trivial combinations will turn out to be successful. Try to dilute the interior, consisting mainly of beige and chocolate, with turquoise curtains, put a vase of this shade on the table, put a couple of pillows on the bed. The combination of brown and orange will look good in a room for lovers of minimalism. Owners of a large and bright apartment can experiment with combinations of brown with lavender and even purple. Such an unusual combination is suitable for a bedroom, bringing a mystical touch to the room.

Don’t get carried away with combining brown with white and black. These colors match each other, however, a room made in this range will seem gloomy

Interior in brown tones – the opinion of psychologists

Brown is the color of the earth. Therefore, it is perfect for creating a cozy nest, a place where you can get away from worries and feel at home, safe. This color will be appropriate in any room – bedroom, living room, study, kitchen or bathroom. However, one should not get too carried away with dark shades, otherwise warm associations with comfort will give way to boredom, depression and disappointment. Experts recommend paying attention to warm and neutral shades – beige, red-brown, ocher, the color of coffee with milk and, if necessary, combine them with the deep and rich color of dark chocolate.
