Bronding is a staining technique that combines dark and light shades of the same range. The strands intertwine with each other to create a stunning multi-faceted color effect. Bronzing looks especially advantageous on long dark hair.

This spectacular technique creates the natural effect of slightly sun-bleached hair and allows you to solve several problems:

• play of color makes hair visually thicker
• light highlights refresh the complexion
• with this technique, color correction can be done less frequently than with mono

Bronding is performed on both light hair and dark hair. It is often confused with ombre dyeing, but these are different techniques: with ombre, mainly the lower third of the hair and ends are lightened, with bronzing, the color “stretches” almost to the roots.

If your hair is dirty or there are traces of styling on it, you should first wash and dry it naturally. It is not recommended to use a hair dryer before coloring – hot air seals the hair scales and makes it difficult for the dye to penetrate.

Clothes should be protected from contamination with a negligee. Prepare a mixing cup and clips without metal elements. Before proceeding to bronzing dark hair at home, Pavel carefully combes it so that the dye lies evenly.

Choose paint shades and percentage of oxidizing agent according to the desired result and the initial shade.

• Fix the hair on the temporal zones with clips. Start the application from the lower back of the head, highlighting the first strands with a V-shaped parting.

Pavel wants to get natural and soft overflows, so he takes strands 2-3 cm wide.If you want to get a more contrasting result, do partings more often.

• Pull back the strand and apply paint, blending carefully

To obtain a spectacular play of color, the stylist does not paint the strand entirely, but using the “tongue of flame” technique, the lightening composition completely covers the tip of the strand and smoothly spreads along its edges without affecting the middle.

• Separate strands in a checkerboard pattern for beautiful smooth color transitions, work through all hair, moving from the back of the head to the crown of the head
• When you finish bronzing for dark hair in the back of the head, cover the ends with plastic to provide them with extra warmth. This stimulates the lightening process.

Start processing the temporal areas.

Highlight the strands with diagonal partings:

• first parallel to the hairline at the temples
• gradually increase the angle so that the last parting is parallel to the floor

Pavel chose a more intense oxidizer for the temporal zones, so that they lighten faster, so bronzing for long dark hair at home will turn out to be more uniform.

• Make the top strand light at the outer edge almost to the roots. Repeat everything on the other side

Be sure to consider which part your model is wearing and focus on it when dyeing.

After keeping the allotted time, wash off the dye from your hair using shampoo and dry your hair, preferably naturally.

• Apply a pre-selected shade of dye or tinting to the lightened areas of hair for a smoother color transition. Soak according to the instructions, rinse with a balm
