Bronzer: which one to choose for yourself? Video
Bronzers, or bronzers, are a cosmetic product that can give your skin a well-groomed look and a beautiful natural tan in a couple of minutes. Bronzers come in powder, cream, gel, or stick form – choose a texture based on your skin type.
Bronzers: how to use them
Properly applied, the product not only creates the effect of tanned skin, but also evens out the complexion, removing excessive redness or an unhealthy earthy tone. A small portion of the bronzer can tidy up tired, toned skin, visually tighten and refresh the face. Products in gel, cream or powder can be used not only by women, this type of decorative cosmetics is perfect for men and collects positive reviews among those who pay attention to their appearance.
Bronzers are also successfully used for other purposes. They can change the shade of the powder, making it warmer and darker. With bronzers, it is easy to sculpt the face: narrow the nose, remove the double chin, highlight the cheekbones and get rid of too chubby cheeks. Another use of bronzers is to replace blush. Dark tan products look very natural and are great for subtle daytime makeup. Bronzers are especially good on dark skin – tanned, olive, golden. To make the color look as natural as possible, apply a bronzer to the apples of the cheeks and blend well with a fluffy brush or fingers. Bronzers can be applied not only to the face, but also to the body. Blend them on the neck and décolleté, accentuate the collarbones and cleavage on the chest.
If you want to enhance and deepen the shade of your blush, apply bronzer over it. The color will become natural, but bright enough. For natural make-up, bronzer can also be applied to the eyelids. Application with a fluffy natural bristle brush will provide a light haze, while application with a damp applicator will give a denser and brighter color. Another option is to set off brows with bronzer. Apply the powder with a latex sponge; this makeup option is especially suitable for brown-haired women and brunettes.
For eyes and brows, use dark tones of bronzers without orange undertones.
Choosing a shade and texture
You can find bronzers on sale in different shades – from light beige-golden to dark chocolate-brown. If you want to sculpt your face, use multiple shades. For this, special palettes for makeup artists are very convenient. They contain several colors, as well as light powder, allowing you to mix tones, achieving the most natural effect.
For light pinkish skin, a warm apricot or peach shade bronzer is suitable. A darker tone requires a beige-brown bronzer with a touch of pink. Warm golden skin needs coral or orange undertones. A very dark face can be shaded with a brownish-red color, and an original bluish-brown color is suitable for cool olive skin.
If you have very light skin of a translucent white shade, do not use bronzers: they will look like a dirty spot on your face.
Consider your skin type when choosing a texture. For oily, light moisturizing gels and gel sticks are suitable. Some products contain moisturizing and cooling ingredients: aloe extracts, menthol, hyaluronic acid. These gels are especially pleasant in summer, they are applied directly to cleansed skin and then shaded with your fingertips.
A bronzer is not a substitute for sun protection. Apply it over a high SPF cream to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.
Dry skin looks more natural with a mild, creamy bronzer. It does not emphasize peeling, visually hides fine wrinkles, gives the face a light, healthy shine. For normal skin, bronzers are addressed in the form of a powder. They can be applied over a moisturizer, foundation or leveling base. For blending, use fluffy flat or round brushes made from natural and artificial bristles.
Makeup with bronzer: hide and emphasize
Try a light daily makeup for lightly tanned skin.
For a quick natural make-up you will need:
- powdery bronzer in one or two shades
- moisturizing base
- corrector
- fixing powder
- cream blush
- brushes and applicators
Apply a moisturizing foundation all over your face. Hide problem areas with a creamy beige concealer. Then brush the bronzer of the desired tone on the brush. Gently outline the oval of the face, passing along the temples and under the chin. This technique will make your face more graceful. Powder your face to even out skin tone and matte it.
Place a thin layer of pink or reddish cream or powder blush on your cheekbones. Apply a powdery bronzer on top, gently blending it. Add a little more product under the cheekbone, it will make the cheeks thinner and the cheekbones more prominent.
Use the brush to spread the bronzer over the neck. Turn your head so that the product lies as evenly as possible. Brush on the upper chest. If the shade seems too dark to you, muffle it with a transparent loose powder.
