Britain’s loneliest dog has finally found a home

She waited for “her” owners for 1000 days in the shelter.

Since 2017, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier has been a resident of the Bat Cutts & Dogs Home in Somerset. The dog got here thanks to the actor Anthony Head, best known for his role in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But even the help of a media person did not help her find loving owners.

Head brought the bull terrier as a puppy, and the baby spent almost three years in the shelter. “Not interesting to potential adoptive parents,” the employees said. But Faith (from English faith is translated as “faith”), namely the name of the dog, did not lose heart and continued to wait for her family. It took her 1000 days to do this.

Taylor Elliot and her husband Matt came from Norfolk to take Faith home.

“This woman was the only one who showed that she really needed this dog,” – said Taylor.

The couple was not stopped even by the great distance. It will take almost five hours to get from Norfolk to Somerset by car. And this is only one way! But looking at Faith’s happy look, there is no doubt that all the efforts were worth it.

According to Nicky Cragg, a spokeswoman for the rescue center, the entire team was overjoyed when they found out who came for Faith.

“We are all very happy that Faith was finally given a chance and she found her home, – added the girl. “She deserves it. When Faith first came to us, she was afraid of everything: a human hand, a voice, even dog toys. But it soon became clear that this is a very intelligent, loving dog. “
