Manicure is an integral part of my life. In the rain and snow, fatigue and chronic lack of sleep – in any case, I will not allow myself to leave the house without a manicure. Basically, I prefer classic shades – red, natural and French, but in the summer I really want to make my life even brighter!

Appearance: volumetric bottle and brush of medium thickness. Everything for easy shade application. A delicate lilac shade with a poetic name “Lavender Sky” won my heart.

Reality: the varnish is easily applied to the nail: the brush evenly “spreads” over the entire nail, and in two strokes you can paint the nail. The shade is dense, so it is worth painting with a second layer only so that the varnish holds better. Since I very rarely use ordinary varnishes in my everyday life, preferring Shellac, I was surprised by the durability and quick drying of Avon! Moreover, the varnish does not require a glossy top coat, it looks shiny and complete without additional products.

How quickly it dries: it takes literally five minutes for the varnish to dry.

I believe that women’s hands should always be well-groomed. And a beautiful manicure plays an important role in this matter. Especially in summer, when you want bright colors and creative experiments. For our regular column “Wday Tests” I got a delicate mint shade of the L’Etoile brand, which I did not dare to try for so long. By the way, the collection “L’Etoile” Selection La Beauté Défait la Mort is dedicated to Marie Antoinette and includes several interesting pastel shades. I will say right away, I was delighted! And from the color, and from the varnish!

Appearance: quite voluminous glass bottle, 11 ml, with a black double cap, somewhat reminiscent of the design of Chanel varnishes. The product has a very convenient flat wide brush with a rounded cut on the sides, which covers almost the entire nail at once.

Reality: the varnish has a creamy texture, it is quite easy to apply, but for a dense coating it is necessary to apply a couple of layers. It lasts for 5 days, then begins to split off. The finish at the varnish is matte, so on top I also applied a top coat for shine.

How quickly it dries: the varnish dries almost instantly. Before I had time to paint the second hand, everything was already dry on the first hand.

Evaluation: 9 of 10.

I just adore bright colors, especially in the summer, when you can experiment with makeup and manicure, choosing the most fashionable trends of the spring-summer 2015 season. For testing I came across just such a promising varnish MAYBELLINE Colorama BLEACHED NEONS in a rich coral shade.

Appearance: 7 ml round glass bottle with a black cap and a convenient even brush, which is easy to paint over nails almost the first time.

Reality: the product lays down evenly, but it is quite liquid, and for a dense coating it is necessary to apply 2-3 layers. But what a bright neon shade it turns out! It lasts about 4-5 days, but for greater durability and shine, I applied a top coat on top.

How quickly it dries: the varnish dries quickly enough (6-7 minutes).

The warm season I associate primarily with blossoming leaves and grass, and green colors in manicure are starting to attract me more and more. Generally, green is not the easiest nail polish color. Often these shades have a warm undertone and I don’t like the way they look on my nails. Welcome Gift is cool green, sometimes appearing slightly turquoise under certain lighting conditions.

Appearance: I like Anny not only for the good quality varnishes, but also for the stylish square bottles. The brush is ordinary, not wide and not narrow, but it was convenient for me to apply varnish.

Reality: it is a very obedient varnish with the correct consistency – not thick and not too liquid. The coating is uniform and dense in two layers, has an excellent inherent gloss. It lasts about 4 days on my nails.

How quickly it dries: fast. This is one of the few varnishes that will not print bedding if I suddenly decide to paint my nails before bed.

Lately, I only do Shellac – for two weeks of manicure, and I sacrificed variety for convenience and time savings. But summer is a time when you want bright colors, when the desire to paint your nails in the color of a new skirt drowns out practicality.

Appearance: the Dolce & Gabbana bottle is stylish. The lid let down – the thread immediately flew off, I had to disassemble it to open the varnish. Not very pleasant for this brand of varnish. But the varnish has an absolutely wonderful brush! It is short enough, but of such a shape that it evenly covers the nail with varnish, without staining the cuticle with excess.

Revlon has a large bottle. The brush is long, but neat – hair to hair.

Reality: The shade of Dolce & Gabbana nail polish looks brighter. In a bottle, it is more pastel, as a result, the color is quite bright, but noble. If you are short on time, you can even apply one layer – it lays down evenly and tightly. I wrote about the brush above. I applied the varnish very quickly and accurately, although by no means the most experienced user.

Revlon pleasantly surprised me: usually such shades of pink look bright only in a bottle. It lays down on the nails with a transparent layer. And here – just a dense color! After applying the second layer, I got a beautiful color. The only thing is that the varnish is a little watery, so it constantly dripped onto the cuticle. And if I painted all my nails with it, it would take time and patience for the manicure to look neat.

How quickly it dries: The first coat of Dolce & Gabbana was dry in just a couple of minutes! I dried the second for about 5 minutes. I caught it in front of my eyes.

Revlon took longer. It needs to be used together with drying – I went to bed half an hour after I finished my manicure, but still in the morning I found that the varnish was smeared here and there. But on the other hand, he calmly survived four days of a hard test drive without chips and scratches – my first “patient” could not stand my rhythm.

Evaluation: Dolce & Gabbana – 9 out of 10 – downgrade only because of the cap. Revlon – 8 out of 10, I would like the varnish to dry much faster.

At home I have a huge collection of varnishes, but for our regular “Wday Tests” column, I was asked to test the Orly brand. We got three shades: green, pink and white. I decided to make myself a moon manicure, I have never done this before. It is worth noting that it was not easy to derive this beauty. I want to say right away, if you want to repeat my feat, it is better to stock up on a stencil. It will be very easy to do such a manicure with him.

Appearance: the volume of bubbles is decent, 18 ml. The price ranges from 300 to 350 rubles per piece. A special feature of Orly varnishes is their thin brush. Although I love wider ones, I was very pleased with this one.

Reality: their consistency is excellent, the golden mean. Not too thick, but not runny either. The color density is also good, it fits perfectly, except that some shades are better applied in two layers, but in one color it turns out saturated. The durability is high. Lasts at least 4 days without a fixer. Chips do not appear on the tips.

How quickly it dries: the varnish dries pretty quickly. For my moon manicure it was very handy. I do not like to wait long for one zone to dry out so that you can start working on another.
