Bride pays waitress for ruining mother-in-law’s dress

Few people can please a clumsy waitress at a wedding: soiled clothes, spoiled mood, bad memories… Everything changes if an awkward employee spoils the dress of the mother-in-law, who violated wedding traditions and came to the event in white. The bride from this story is still grateful to the restaurant worker who helped her out at the celebration.

The wedding day didn’t go well from the start. The mother-in-law came to the celebration in white, as if it were her holiday. “Of course, I will wear a white dress to the wedding of my only son,” blogger Chloe, who served the event, quoted the train of thought of such mothers-in-law.

Of course, the bride was upset by the act of her mother-in-law, but she decided not to go into open conflict and did not begin to sort things out with the groom’s mother at the wedding. But one can imagine what feelings the girl experienced when her eyes fell on the white dress of her mother-in-law. She would have continued to secretly be angry at the wayward guest, if the force of circumstances had not intervened … in the face of the waitress.

Chloe worked briefly in the service industry and it was the only wedding she ever worked at. “I am very clumsy and constantly drop something, so I didn’t stay long at this job,” the girl shared. That day, she accidentally spilled a whole tray of sauce right into her mother-in-law’s lap.

The sauce was hot, but, fortunately, did not burn the guest – but it irrevocably ruined her dress. The woman had to go to her house to change and missed a significant part of the event.

“I was very upset and even cried because I ruined the wedding of this couple,” admitted the waitress. However, she soon realized that this accident played into the hands of the bride. The hero of the occasion thanked her and warmly shook her hand, explaining that her mother-in-law had put on a white dress to spite her. Then she handed the girl a generous tip – 55 pounds (5,4 thousand rubles).

After the wedding, Chloe met the bride in the city several times, and each time she warmly welcomed her. She shared her story on her TikTok account and garnered 1,8 million views and many enthusiastic comments.

“Are you sure that the bride paid you after, and not before the incident?”, “I would definitely hire you for my wedding!” — ironic commentators. Others drew attention to how well all the circumstances. “Karma overtook her,” “The universe sent you to this wedding to fulfill the desire of the bride,” others noted.

Of course, we have no right to forbid the bride to secretly rejoice in the troubles of her mother-in-law, but a frank conversation before the wedding with the participation of her groom would be much more productive. Perhaps, by joint efforts, the couple would have been able to dissuade the woman from wearing a white dress to the wedding, if this moment was so important for the bride.
