The relationship between breath and internal (physical and mental) state has long been known. Controlling the breath to control the internal state is a big part of yoga.

To develop the ability to manage one’s state, it is useful to engage in breathing practices, combining them with percussion techniques. Good to know:

  • A short sharp exhalation energizes. (HA!). A longer breath — on the contrary, calms, reduces energy.
