When traveling with jet lag, we try to adjust our sleep times to the local time. This attempt to adjust the body to a new daily rhythm does not always give a quick result.
When traveling with jet lag, we try to adjust our sleep times to the local time. This attempt to adjust the body to a new daily rhythm does not always give a quick result. But what if you bet on the rhythm of nutrition? One of the authors of an article on this topic, Professor of Neurology at Harvard University (USA) Clifford Saper, recommends that you stop eating 16 hours before breakfast, according to the time of the country you are visiting: the first meal will help start our internal clock in the right rhythm * . It would be nice to be able to refrain from eating on the plane and not having lunch when arriving in the afternoon! Saper came to these conclusions by observing the behavior of mice, but he clarifies that after the publication he already received feedback from colleagues that confirm the effectiveness of the method. Flying over the New Year holidays is a good reason to check it out.
