Brands of stew with starch and antibiotics named
Not all canned meat products contain extraneous impurities, but it is almost impossible to buy a really tasty product.
Whether it is to the dacha, whether on a hike, or on a picnic, stew is sometimes an indispensable product. But experts warn: if you want to buy really canned meat, you cannot buy canned meat.
“Beef stew and stew are two completely different products. Beef stew is canned meat, while stew is meat and vegetable, ”the experts explain.
In the composition of beef stew, meat is in the first place, in the composition of stew – soy protein, water, and meat on the list is somewhere in the penultimate place, before vegetables and spices. Such a product is relatively cheap, but is it tasty? Hardly.
However, a check carried out by experts from Roskachestvo showed that it is very difficult to find tasty stew in Russian stores. They examined samples of 23 brands, and as a result, only 5 of them were recommended for purchase. Moreover, the price of canned beef stew is comparable to the cost of fresh meat, and the taste is three points out of five. Or even two.
The list of recommended products included canned meat “Mikoyan”, “Honest product”, “Grodfood”, “Sovok” and “Bars”.
The taste is not the same, the smell is also
Extraneous smells and tastes were found in almost all stew (sorry, we call canned meat so in the old fashioned way): TM Velikolukskiy Myasokombinat, ZAO Yoshkar-Ola Meat Processing Plant, Kurgan Standard, OVA, Elinskiy, OMKK, Batkin Reserve and GOST Stewed Beef (OAO Velikonovgorodskiy Myasnoy Dvor); taste and smell of food additives – in beef «Main Product»… In a stew Bars, Ruzkom, Russkiy Izysk, Family Budget и “Expedition” the aroma of spices was not expressed.
Canned food TM “Stewed beef GOST” (OJSC “Velikonovgorodsky myasnoy dvor”), “Elinsky”, “Kurgan standard” и “Family budget” moreover, they consisted entirely of very small pieces, practically minced meat stew. And this means that the raw materials for these canned food could be of very low quality – there is no way to check this.
Antibiotics, starch and liver
It is generally accepted that antibiotics disintegrate with prolonged heat treatment. Therefore, it is already impossible to understand how many of them were in raw meat before it was sent to production. However, antibiotics were still found in banks of five manufacturers.
Canned food became the champion “Father’s reserve”… They found the antibiotic sulfamethazine. In raw materials, the permissible amount of this drug is 0,1 mg per kilogram. And in this finished product there was ten times more antibiotic – 1 mg per kilo.
In addition, traces of antibiotics are found in canned food. “Atrus”, “Stewed beef GOST”, “Kurgan standard”, “Elinsky”.
In a stew “Family budget” found soy protein and starch. There was starch and in cans under the brands «Елинский» и “Only meat is here”.
And in the stew «THIS» – not only meat, but also offal.
By the way, offal is still good. Some jars are almost half full of the purest broth: TM “Buryatmyasoprom”, “Velikoluksky meat-packing plant”, “Elinsky”, “Kurgan standard”, “OVA”, “Ruzkom” and “Only meat is here”… The amount of protein in this stew was also low (less than 15%).
