Why this rule works not only in personal relationships, but also in business, explains Boris Zarkov, the owner of the White Rabbit restaurant, which entered the top 50 best restaurants in the world.
“When I met my future wife, we corresponded with phrases from poems. These words of Eduard Asadov hooked me. No one teaches us that the world works like this — first you need to give, so that then something comes. As in a relationship with a loved one, so in life. Even in business, because business is a search for compromises, the ability to take a step forward. When you live life and analyze some moments (failed relationships with people, business partners), this rule is confirmed: love and luck come in response to our ability to give away for free. The difficulty is that it is important for us to feel right, and we do not have the skill to work on relationships with loved ones. My son is now 11 years old, his character is being formed, and I try to explain my point of view to him. Children are initially takers. And the meaning of life is to become a giver. Not in terms of material wealth, but in terms of information, deeds, energy. Learn to forgive, even if you are right, to give people positive emotions, knowledge, love, time. Learn to be open.
* Eduard Asadov, poet. A phrase from his poem «The Word of Love» («Poems about Love», Eksmo, 2014).
