“Don’t hug me!” Jane Chapman
From 2 years. The tale of the furry monster Barney, who hides from squirrels and hares because they constantly strive to hug him, seems simple and funny. But its meaning is serious. Barney is tired of the attention and wants to be alone, away from the obsessive tenderness. After all, even good emotions can be tiring, and close people sometimes want to take a break from each other. And you can, without hesitation, tell others about it.

“Derzhioblako” by Anastasia Strokina
A very original book – I’ve never seen such characters anywhere before! For example, Plato is a bunch of leaves and feathers, but smart as a person. He came to the pharmacist so that the pharmacist would come up with a goal, a direction for his path. He offered to find out the recipe for fear from the giant Derzhioblako on a distant mountain.
On the way, Plato met the Volcolis August, whom I felt very sorry for: August was sad because the mistress had exchanged him for a dog. Plato invited him to go together, and along the way they met many others, for example, they saved a talking doll.
A very tense moment was in the desert: I was worried about the heroes, whether they would survive, whether they would find water. For the characters here, in general, you constantly worry, and I was glad that everything ended well. It seems to me that Derzhioblako is a book for adults and children at the same time.
There are many serious moments in it, as in life. Let’s say a wolkolis, which was abandoned by the mistress – people also part often, betray each other. And yet we must move on. I would even say that the whole story is about how to find your purpose in life and not give up on the way to it, even if you have been harmed.
