Bon appetit: mom sat the child on a pot in the middle of the pub

This angered even the prim British. And not because pubs are practically a religion in England.

It is believed that Western parents are more liberated than Russian mothers. They allow their babies more, do not shout at them every five minutes and are devoid of any conventions. Their values are cited as examples of women who are criticized for, say, breastfeeding in public.

But there are things that are unacceptable even for a tolerant Europe with their “what is natural is not ugly.” So, a few days ago, one of the popular British “mom” forums a wave of indignation swept over him. Is this normal, Internet users wondered.

“I had dinner in a pub, there was a family with a small child. So the mother put the child on a pot right in the middle of the pub, near her table, ”the indignant British woman wrote on the forum.

The woman added that the parents dined with friends. And no one made any remarks to them.

“She had disposable pot liners. When the child finished his business, she tied the insert and then threw it away, ”said the witness of the situation.

The panelists almost unanimously decided that this behavior was unacceptable.

“Why not take this pot and go to the toilet with it? Parents are disgusting. It is clear, of course, they want to potty train the kid, but they don’t do such things in a public place ”.

“Poor child, no personal space.”

“This is disgusting! Of course, going to the toilet is a natural process. But imagine if I came to a pub with a dog, put a plastic bag next to me and asked the dog to go to the toilet on it while everyone is eating. “

Many wondered why no one complained to the staff of the establishment and why no one said anything to the parents of the baby.

“They should have been asked to leave altogether” – there are also such radical statements.

However, there seem to be a lot of such “advanced” parents in England: members of the forum remembered similar situations in which they found themselves. It turns out that parents – supporters of the formula “what is natural is not ugly” do not hesitate to plant a little “pee-pee” during a service in a church or at a bus stop. They also change disposable diapers for children in hotel lobbies, on coffee tables in waiting rooms and even on dining tables.

“When I made a remark to them, they looked at me as if I had said something humiliating,” a witness recalls one of these situations.

But the “famous” family also had defenders.

“They don’t pee into your dish. Live your life and let others live, ”shout fans of naturalness, noting that maybe the mother did not have a second to bring the baby to the toilet.
