If you suddenly want a delicious pickled cabbage, then you don’t have to wait long. It can be prepared in a bomb way. This means – very quickly, in a day it will be on your table.
For pickled cabbage Bomba, you can take cabbage of any ripening period, since it is not suitable for winter storage. But the taste in any case will be excellent. We offer you different pickling options.
Pickle cabbage quickly – recipes
There are many recipes for pickled cabbage called Bomba. Here are the first two of them.
The first recipe
Main Ingredients:
- two or three kilograms of cabbage (petals);
- two large carrots;
- 5 or 6 cloves of garlic.
We prepare the marinade from:
- 1500 ml of water;
- 2 tablespoons of salt;
- 9 tablespoons of sugar;
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar essence (200 grams of 9% table vinegar);
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper.
The second recipe
We need the following ingredients:
- petal – 2 kg;
- carrots – 400 grams;
- garlic – 4 tooth.
For preparation of marinade:
- vegetable oil – 10 ml;
- table vinegar 9% – 150 ml;
- granulated sugar – 3,5 tablespoons;
- salt – 2 tablespoons;
- lavrushka – 3 leaves;
- black pepper – 6 peas;
- water – 500 ml.
Despite the difference in ingredients, pickled Bomba is prepared in the same way.
General cooking rules step by step
Step one – preparing vegetables:
- To prepare Bomba cabbage according to recipes, the vegetable is washed under running water, the upper leaves with wormholes or other damage are removed. The upper leaves are also removed if they are greenish, because Bomba needs white juicy cabbage. We shred the forks using any tools, the main thing is to get thin strips.
- We wash the washed carrots, remove the skin and rinse. We rub it on a grater with large cells.
The color of the pickled Bomba pellet will depend on the size of the carrot: if you want to get a white preservation, then this vegetable needs to be cut larger.
- We wash the garlic cloves, from the upper scales and remove a thin film, rinse. We will grind it with the help of a press immediately into the connected vegetables.
- We combine carrots and pelyustka in a large basin, mix.
Step two – prepare the marinade:
- Pour 500 ml of pure water into the pan, add the ingredients indicated in the specific recipe, except for vinegar and sunflower oil. We put the marinade on the stove to cook.
- We wait from the moment of boiling 7 minutes. Add oil and vinegar, boil for a couple of minutes and remove the pan from heat.
Step three – final
We shift the vegetables into a saucepan for pickling and pour them with hot marinade.
- We put a plate on top of the pellet and set the load: a stone or a jar of water.
- After 6-7 hours, we transfer the bomb cabbage into a jar, tamp it down, top it up with brine.
We send the container to the refrigerator. On the second day, you can use cabbage for salads. Bon appetit everyone!

Conclusion
As you can see, pickled cabbage is easy to prepare. Even after pouring hot marinade, it does not lose its crunchiness. There is no bitterness in it either.
The only drawback of such a blank is a short shelf life. But this, perhaps, is not so important. The main thing is that you can pickle the right portion at any time.
